Lovely Course, Really lovely people

Let’s start with the course, it’s a short course, but don’t let that put you off. If your used to some 6200+ yrd modern course then give this a go, much more akin to traditional golf. All the holes are a challenge, for example the first looks simple but a blind second shot and wickedly quick green Make it tricky and so it continues, whilst many holes reminiscent of modern parkland courses there are some that will mess with your heed! The 4th, 10th, 15th and 16th, in particular.. I played on a warm summers day, the greens were in good condition, they are mossy, but we’re quick, true and have a few wicked angles. The fairways were lush and bouncy. The deep rough though is deep, the ferns above your waist put pay to searching for the ball beefier you even consider the wee beasties that may be lurking within! So all in all the course is good and should pose a challenge to most

The thing I really want to comment on if the hospitality, the lady who ran the clubhouse was amazing: I rocked up mid Saturday afternoon, no problem squeezing me in. Can my boy walk round with me? No problem, and she also gave him a club so he could have a hit too! Can my wife walk round with the bairn in the buggy? No problem! I do not think I’ve ever been more welcomed!!! My wife had an excellent scone and tea in the clubhouse whilst I completed the back nine and at the end I was gutted I didn’t have the chance to get one myself as we had to rush off

This was one the best golf experiences I’ve had and I would recommend Aberfoyle GC to anyone!!!
