Falkirk Golf Club
About
Known locally as "Carmuirs," Falkirk Golf Club is a parkland layout with slight undulation. It's a 6,230-yard par-71 course from the back tees.
Falkirk will undergo a significant renovation in the coming years. David J. Russell, a PGA Professional and golf course architect, has made several recommendations on improving the layout that will be incorporated into the course.
New practice facilities have also been added: four practice bays, a practice putting green and "short game" area for pitching and bunker play. A fully-stocked pro shop is on site, managed by resident professional Stewart Craig.

Highly recommended
Helpful friendly pro shop likewise other members on course, great condition fairways and greens. Thoroughly enjoyed whole experience.
Very average course
Standard course - wouldnt pay more thwn 15 quid for it. Place was soaked, greens very bobbled and sanded. Had to play off the front tees which was also a bit annoying. Net out of order before starting too.
Course was excellent after heavy rain greens superb
Pleasant Saturday Round on Nice Course
Played late September so conditions turning autumnal. Greens had been cored but still fast and true. Some parts of course a bit soggy underfoot. A number of interesting holes using changes of gradient and water hazards. Course feels a bit scruffy, and in need of some investment to tidy it up a bit, but overall was an enjoyable afternoon.
Great value for money
The course was in good condition, especially the greens which were superb .
Service and food in the clubhouse was also excellent.
Only let down was the starter , didn’t greet us at all. Was too busy on his phone the whole time we were in the shop . Never smiled. Didn’t engage in any conversation. Not a good first impression of the course !!
Great Local course
Played the course twice in 4 days, condition excellent both days. Good layout and variety of holes to test all of your game. Only 10 minutes away and price point of £18-20 a round is excellent value. Considering membership at Falkirk now.
Reasonable Value
The course is local to me although I’ve only played it a handful of times. The course has undergone a number of layout changes over the years and this to me is one of my main dislikes about the course. Frequently you are required to walk excessively to find the next teeing area, the walk from 5 to 6 is 300 yards! Individually the holes are fine with varying terrain changes and hole shapes, it just doesn’t quite flow. Fairway’s were nicely presented, the greens were true, although a little slow. Be aware there are a few warning signs on a couple of tees on the back nine, about properties bordering the holes, so if you suffer from a wild hook perhaps this is a course to avoid. By the way play 30 yards short of the first par 5 green on the back nine, the approach is totally blind and very down hill (not a great hole).
The main disappointment with this particular round was the slow pace of play, we were unfortunate to tee up behind two fourballs, the first of which seemed to be playing a texas scramble, at just over 4 hours the round was too slow to enjoy.
If you’re lucky with the tee sheet and get this course at a lower price, it’s definitely worth a game.
Great variety of holes.
Course In really good condition with a lovely layout
falkirk golf course
the course is so much fun. every hole is different, and a pleasure to stand on the tee and take in the challenge. i have always liked this kind of course to the long slog of a championship course. as a fun day out hard to fault.
Cracking Course
First time played this course. Loved it. Greens where like velvet and the fairways also when I was on them..lol. We were lucky enough to be behind two members who kept us right and were very friendly. All in all a really nice course. Wee bit up and down but well worth the money.
Great welcome, the course was in mint condition, well worth a play if you're in the area, the greens were excellent
Very nice course
Always fancied playing here, totally worth it, will go again
Pace of play too slow, but a good course.
There was a Committee of 20+ on before our 2 ball and although in buggies, they were far too slow and were unwilling to let our 2 ball through.
We played the first 4 holes TWICE and still managed to catch the group in front when we reached the 6th hole.
That aside, I’ve played this course many times, and it’s a challenging but enjoyable course to play.
Conditions underfoot were soggy due to constant rain but the course was holding up well. Greens were average for the time of year (late March) but I know from previous rounds the greens are very good.
All in all a disappointing round of golf (which we didn’t complete due to slow play) but that was only due to those in front of us.
