Washington County Golf Course
About
Located just northwest of downtown Milwaukee, Washington County Golf Club (formerly known as Family Park Golf Course) feels much further thanks to its seclusion in the beautiful Kettle Moraine area. Arthur Hills designed the course, which is ranked second in the nation among municipal golf course in Golf Digest. The layout sprawls across wide-open, gently rolling terrain. The subtle contours of the landscape provide a few difficult lies and they can also make the greens hard to read but overall it is a course that most players can approach with confidence. Thanks to a versatile layout it appeals to a wide range of skill levels and it is an ideal spot for tournaments and events. Over the years Washington County Golf Club has hosted several championships including the U.S. Open Qualifying Round and the Wisconsin PGA Championship.

Best in Class for a Public Course
The greens were amazing, just fast enough and every putt went exactly where you aimed.
The tee boxes and fairways were perfect.
I wouldn’t change a thing.
One thing I would like to see change in golf is the course starters should direct people to the proper tees based on their skill level. I had a group in front of me playing the blues and they should have been playing the reds. They barely made the fairway on most of the par 4’s & 5’s.
Always good.
Washington Co. Golf Course is simply awesome. Great natural layout. Great condition. Really worth your time!
Course was great but first nine took over 2.5 hours
We were behind a foursome walking. The young gentlemen were fine but the older couple walking slowed the pace of play down to a crawl. We never did see a marshal on the course, otherwise, we would had informed him of how slow the pace was for that nine.
Thank God they left after nine.
Always good
Some fairways were punched but that's to be expected. Greens were lightning fast and smooth. Gps electric carts and a nice breeze for a 85 degree day. Course is top notch! One of the best in the area!
Perfect!
Great course. You will enjoy it more if the wind is down.
Best course in the area
I’ve played this course a lot since moving up to WI. I love the layout and overall condition of the course. My only issue is many of the greens are beat up. Players need to fix their ball marks and take care of the greens more.
Quick Quality Round
Course was in great shape especially with the recent rain, carts with BT & GPS was a huge plus. Greens rolled nice and there was a good amount of challenging holes. 10/10 will play again.
Hands-down the best course in the area
Absolutely love this place. For a public/muni course, it really doesn’t get any better. Impeccable conditions, great routing, challenging but fair play, and just a perfect environment for golf.
