Riverside Golf Course
About
Riverside Golf Course is located on the northwest side of Janesville near the Rock River. Opened in 1924, it is one of the oldest courses in the area and over the years it has earned the reputation of being one of southern Wisconsin's best public courses. The course has also been recognized as one of the 50 best public golf values in the country. The gently rolling hills of the landscape provide the course with rolling, tree-lined fairways and large, undulating greens, which are framed by strategically placed bunkers. Riverside is a challenging course but not so difficult that beginners should be intimidated. The classic layout is quite forgiving and versatile enough for a range of skill levels, one reason why it is the host to the Ray Fischer Tournament, one of the Midwest's most prestigious amateur events.

This course was great at twice the price! Well worth playing.
First time at Riverside and it’s now going to be on a regular rotation. Greens are small, undulating, smooth and well groomed. The only issue we had was the bunkers were pretty awful. Most had little to no sand - maybe partially from recent rains. That did not spoil the experience though. The staff was fantastic, friendly and caring. The starter gave us a 5 min rundown as there were a few blind tee shot holes. The layout was fun , just be careful on 18 tee… we had 3 drives land within 20 feet of us with no warning. Come enjoy really good layout, greens, and staff - at an incredibly low cost.
Nice coarse
Course was in good shape, greens rolled true. Good value and very friendly staff. Not a real tough course.
Staff

Great day!
This is only my 2nd time playing this course, even though I grew up in Janesville I didn''t golf then. 1st time here was years ago.
The course is in great shape. There was a scramble going on so they had me play the back 9 twice. Played the whites the first 9 and the blues the 2nd. Was a great day to be out on the Course.
Great value
The course is great for any skill level. I also forget clubs a lot and the staff learns who you are so it's not a hassle to get help getting em back.
Hard to Not Love This Course
Riverside is one of the top public courses in Wisconsin. I've played a lot of them, and it's real gem.
