Dumfriesshire's Best
Excellent course, we stayed in the area for 5 days and played all the top courses in Dumfriesshire. Some excellent courses but this was without doubt the best. The Greens were superb
Good value with Golfnow.
Great discount with golfnow, but standard green fee was steep. Good terrain with excellent drainage, full greens in play except for holes 9 and 10, which are closed in Winter. However, this returns the layout to its original form.
Fantastic day
Three mates on trip to Dumfries to play golf. We played this course on 2nd day, and what a greatly pleasurable experience it was. Course in great condition and the people at the club could not have been friendlier or more helpful.
Highly recommended
Great track
Loved it around the course. A couple of holes where it was rather hilly for the elderly gentleman. The greens and fairways were perfect only slight criticism was the bunkers but maybe that was to do with the heavy rain the previous 2 days as the sand was so compact it was like playing with no sand in them. But altogether a cracking little course with beautiful scenery.
Too many blind shots
An interesting course with a nice rolling feel but spoiled by too many blind shots.
Wide fairways
Played in very wet conditions which had affected the condition of bunkers. The greens were excellent despite the dry and hot June we’ve had and course was standing up well to the recent 2 days of rain. Course well manicured but 2nd rather more hilly
Will definitely return for a game when next were in Dumfries
Fair and challenging
Course in very good condition with quick, true greens. Better variety of holes on back 9 where good shots are rewarded. Staff and members very friendly though limited car parking available.
Waterlogged and winter greens
Course should really have been closed, winter greens in poor condition too.
Shame as it would be a great course in summer months
Good experience
Good experience from the off, welcoming staff and the pro shop were very helpful no problems whatsoever and welcomed by the members l would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this course
Thanks to all .
Regards George
Excellent course in outstanding condition
Fairways were like carpets and brilliant greens, great variety of holes although a couple were a bit quirky on the back 9. It's not too long so would suit all levels of golfer but is tricky enough to provide a good test for the better player. I would thoroughly recommend playing this course if you get chance
Great course
1st time playing there, great course, some challenging holes, will defo be going back to conquer it
Fantastic club
Absolutely fantastic value for money, quality from start to finish, booking through to having food and drink , clubshop sales and service , would highly recommend and be back to play , ps course in amazing condition , thanks everyone
Great course
Great course. Great mix of long and short holes. Staff and members gave us a great welcome and we will definitely make a return visit.
Good challenging course...
I love playing here midweek around lunchtime, as it is quiet. Nothing better than playing around 2:30 to 3:00 hours for 18 holes. Course is really starting to get into good condition....Infact the greens were in very good condition.
Great Course, Friendliest people
The course was immaculate. The greens and fairways were absolutely perfect. Encountered a few members who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They have all been saying that the course is the best it’s ever been. The staff in the pro shop and clubhouse were extremely friendly and helpful. My only negative feedback is that sign posting could’ve been better for the next tees, had a couple of head scratching moments trying to find the next tee. However, apart from this, everything else was perfect. Will 100% come back.
Dumfries and Galloway golf
Great course in good condition. Some tricky holes which made it a challenge
End of tour knock
Myself and 3 mates were returning home to Cheshire from 5 days golf at organised event in North East Scotland booked at last minute to play Dumfries and Galloway. All single figure players. Very happy with our decision. Very nice course. Good greens and well maintained. A fair challenge. Only niggle we had was when we arrived a bit earlier to warm up after long drive from Trump International. Asked if there was a practice area. Response was no, it is for members only. No compromise. Seemed a bit harsh. Otherwise enjoyed the course. Please be welcoming to visitors. We all need to work together to keep golf moving forward. Days have gone where we can survive in single club silos.
