Beautiful spot, champagne golf

We were fortunate to choose a quiet sunny day to play on our last day on Arran. Pleased we had a buggy as quite hilly . Staff very welcoming and got a good price for 2 of us. Well maintained course and fantastic views .

Lamlash

Excellent Course with stunning views of the Holy Isle and surrounding area. An excellent selection of holes and very undulating. Some tight driving holes and some great par 3’s. Condition of greens wasn’t great as a bit early in the year and they need some growth but definitely worth a visit.

Friendly welcome from the pro. Good course, much more interesting than it looks from a car on the road. Great views.
Fairways good, some challenging, greens good for time of year. They will improve of course.
Will come back.

Lovely course

Really good condition but we needed a buggy! Some quite steep hills to push carts up! That’s said, beautiful view from the top!

Arran

Played this course on the last day of our holiday.
Some of the best views you’ll get on a course in Scotland.
Tees, greens and fairways all in pretty good condition.
I would highly recommend this course to all my friends.
Next time I’m on Arran it will be my first destination.

Best Course on Arran

In terms of Arran courses Lamlash just pips Whiting Bay in terms of best course on the island. The course is in excellent condition and a true golfing test.
Once finished you have a good club house to sit outside with a beer and watch golfers finish the 18th or drive off at the first. Shishkine and Brodick courses are nowhere near the standard of Lamlash. Only down side was one particular starter who tries to make you feel guilty for booking through Golf Now. A bit of a theme on Arran unfortunately.

Up and down dale

OK as a novelty, but not golf as most people would know it. Very much up and down hill, lots of blind shots.
Played twice, one friendly welcome from steward and one very miserable "welcome" from a different person.

Little gem

Lovely day out despite the weather.
Course is good condition, greens were consistent despite recently being re-sanded.

Some lovely holes and views. Be slightly wary of the road beside the 3rd green. The 8th green/9th tee has a stunning view. The run of par 3s from 12 onwards are fun.

Not a course for big hitters but good course for mixing up your game.

Great value, great course

Best £11 ever sent on Arran. The course was well presented and sorry to see only me on it, but it was raining! Would recommend it to everyone visiting the island and better than the more expensive courses!

Excellent course and incredibly scenic. Quite hilly so if you struggle with mobility a buggie would be ideal. We played in lovely sunshine and it was incredible
