Must Play

Just Played Kilmacolm and what a treat. On arriving it just feels like a place to play golf, great setting and well laid out. Facilities are good and the staff are most welcoming. Now the course, great condition, but vey challenging for the first timers and I look forward to my next visit, this time with a bit 'local knowledge
One hole (maybe 16th) sharp dogleg right but with a restricted narrow view from the tee and there is an old marker post up on the hill, maybe 30-40 degrees to the right 'no way that can be the line' but it was, once you go round the corner, there is a huge fairway, twice normal width, I split the difference, hit a good drive, and ran out of fairway (get it right next time) fantastic day out and for those who have not played here, you are missing a great golf day. If you have played the 'Kings Course', you will see the signature of James Braid here.
