Kitocks in wintry conditions

A very interesting and testing course. Beautiful views, helpful staff great practice amenities. Following recent heavy rain the course was still very playable and the green were true and surprisingly fast. Towards the end of our round the wind was very strong and it was extremely cold so we didn’t play the last two holes. The first 16 were great though.

Beautiful golf course with stunning views over the North Sea and St Andrews. I found it a very good challenge of golf and would recommend the course to anyone considering playing at Fairmont.

Kittocks Course

First time playing this course on 28th December. Greens were like carpets, unbelievable pace for this time of year. Fairways were very wet as expected with very juicy rough so make sure to hit the fairway. Great experience for the price paid.

Fairmount kittocks

Lovely course. Practice before round chipping and putting free as well. Toilets I think about half way I did notice the building had solar panels on the roof. I am 13 handicap and found it a good course with a few challenging holes

Good course but the fairways weren’t the best, greens were very fast took a little to get used to them. We had 2 holes we weren’t sure where to go. I felt some of the signs for next tee were in wrong places.

Course was overwhelmed

The course is beautiful . However on the day we played it was simply overwhelmed with visitors. We were constantly waiting to take our shot and by the time we reached the 12th there were 3 games on the hole and 2 waiting to tee off. It had taken us 3hrs to reach the 11th green and with that in front we walked in. The ranger had been out and couldn’t see anything particular slowing it down. Have to conclude that too many tees were booked.

BMac

The course was very beautiful stretching along the coast of St. Andrews. Sort of wasted as we were practically the only people out there. I guess locals may find it a pit pricey (we did not) and tourists want to play the 7 St. Andrews links courses. For us it was a great change of pace.

Good but to expensive

The course and facilities are good. I think it’s slightly over priced thou. There were flags missing and the whole place just didn’t look top notch. Greens were patchy but run very true. The scenery was fantastic. Wouldn’t say it’s worth more than £90 to play though. It was £125 the day I played.

Excellent layout

Great course. Beautiful location and views Every hole is different and memorable. Rewards a good drive. Condition of fairways was not up to usual standard. Rough needs a cut!
