Belleisle
Course was excellent.
Surprised that I was playing with a random couple as I thought I was playing alone as I had booked. Couple were surprised too.
Excellent
The course was in fantastic condition considering it was 3 days before Christmas. You would struggle to find a course this good condition at this time of the year - even in summer. As the course was quiet pace of play was great. Taken advantage of the £9 hot deal this course is the best for the price. I cannot comment on food etc as I only played the golf but the new club house looks very nice
This course is in great condition.
Very impressed with the layout and for the time of year the fairways and the greens were in terrific condition. Fantastic value. Thank you Golfnow. Would definitely recommend to play here.
Lovely day
Fantastic course and in great condition for this time of year. All tees and greens still open.
Winter round
Excellent condition of course for mid february. Off course amenities are excellent well worth the money which is great value
Great Course. The best public course in Ayrshire
Great value for £18. Condition good. Speed of play good.
Enjoyable holes
BELLEISLE
On arrival, the postcode took us to a dead end residential street, nowhere near the course, even worse there was a roadworks in the vicinity with no easy access or direction. When we eventually got in to the clubhouse, I explained this wee problem to the Guy behind the desk. In my opinion he was very rude & abrupt with his reply, attitude & manner, especially towards a visitor. The course itself was absolutely in great condition & in a lovely setting & weather was excellent. Pace of play was shocking as we were held up at every hole, by people with no golfing etiquette. At end of our round we went into the clubhouse for some food & were told its had just closed at 3.45, which was very poor considering the course was still busy. Catering is supposed to be for golfers, so perhaps they should take this into consideration in future. Facilities in the clubhouse were first class. Would recommend this course to others.
Great municipal course
I was very impressed with the course, I had heard many good reports from friends.
Off the Links
When the wind blows, and you need a break from the exposed links, go to an excellent parkland course.
Flat greens allows for a great putting day. Watch out for the bunkers. Lots of them on this J. Braid designed layout. Doglegs left and to the right with some gourse and heather allowing for missed fayways.
Round at Bellisle
We where on holiday in Ayr, We had waited years to play this course as we where refused before as are son was with us (age 12 handicap 20, dress as per golf code) We played course as a 3 ball, the course and amenities where fine, but was very disappointed with dress code eg football shorts and vest tops, we excepted jeans and t-shirts as it is a municipal course, also the etiquette of other players eg group behind hitting there ball while we where still in range, no warning and no apologize, play was slow but they could see that.
Pleasant Day
The course was in very good condition and a joy to play. The staff both in clubhouse and greens staff were polite and helpful, will definitely be back
