A little hidden gem

Managed to get a tee off for today for £2.99 which is incredible, so was not expecting much. Too be honest this little course is a hidden gem., Although January they were on full greens with raked bunkers.
It’s a 9 hole course that you play twice to make 18 which helps as many blind drives and shots Etc so second time round you have a better idea of where to aim.
Unfortunately the club house was shut which was a shame.
We literally had the course to ourselves. The weather held well and the sun even made an appearance.
Honestly liked the course and would play again.. especially for the price paid..

Great little 9 hole course

Played today for the first time, stopped off on way back from turnberry and was pleasantly surprised by maybole. Great little 9 hole course very enjoyable, greens are as rough as toast but apart from that i had a great time

Empty

A Scottish council course, is well looked after but the greens aren’t much to write home about. Clearly the course isn’t having mountains of money ploughed into it but it’s cut and playable. For the money very good value, some interesting holes but very up and down the hill.

The clubhouse wasn’t open to buy any balls/tees and that, so had to go to the pool opposite for a scorecard. However, staff, governed by Covid rules wouldn’t let us use the toilet which we thought was abit daft.

Challenging and Hilly

For a council run course this is well maintained. It contains Par 3's and 4's which go up and down hill so it is a difficult walk at times.
