Highly recommended

Thoroughly enjoyable round despite the challenges the wind presented. The course is in great order and would recommend.

Course has great views

I found this course a bit different but very enjoyable. I would say you need a reasonable level of fitness to get round as it has extreme elevations although you can hire a buggy to assist you.
The first 9 holes are generally uphill and on reaching the top of the braes there is very little shelter so best playing here when the weather is kind.
The course itself was presented in good condition fairly generous fairways and greens rolling well.
The last hole is a superb par 4 about 365 yards but with an extreme downhill gradient and definitely driveable if you have ability.
The cost of playing was also cheap at £15 and I would recommend if you are looking for something different.

Exceptional value

Very hot day, not a breath of wind even after the climb up to the top of the course. Greens superb condition fast and true. Course in great condition throughout and lovely variety of holes. Would recommend a buggy if not good fitness!

Good course, pretty hilly

Enjoyed my round. Wasn’t expecting to be climbing hills though. Getting to the first Green I was sweating!
Fairways and greens in great condition.

Very nice course

The views from most of the course is spectacular. Full view of Renfrewshire & Glasgow areas. Holes 1-3 go up a hill and from then on it’s the highest of high courses I’ve ever played. Difficult rough so keep away. All in all a great course.

Enjoyed playing here

First few holes it’s like climbing a mountain then it flattens out a bit. I enjoyed the course, views are amazing and the greens were great but definitely not the best course I’ve played on. Wouldn’t just on the opportunity to play here again but if you can grab a bargain here I would recommend playing.

Great course way up high

A really enjoyable day out . A bit of a climb to begin with but it’s well worth it as the views are fantastic and the course is in excellent condition . There are a lot of challenging holes with burns and gorse to punish you if you are wayward or mishitting shots . I would definitely recommend it

Great layout

A well laid out course with some challenging holes. Greens in a great condition. Could not find anyone to check in or use a toilet as visitors cannot access the clubhouse without a key card which is not ideal.

Really nice course to play.

It was my first time playing at Fereneze Golf Course on Monday. Couldn’t fault it. As you are so high up it gets really windy which makes playing conditions very challenging but I would play this course again. For £20 a round, it’s worth it and you get some great panoramic views of Glasgow and Renfrewshire.
