Visit to see any improvements
Course in good condition ,greens and fairways exceptional, remains untidy around GUR areas which need removed to ensure integrity of competition golf.An enjoyable visit hopefully green staff and committee continue to make tidy up procedures
Return to home course
Haven't played the course since last year,I would say great effort has been made to improve playability of Carluke ,it is certainly more pleasing on the eye to this time last year.I congratulate committee and greenkeeper for this. However attention still has to be paid to GUR areas where in many areas should be removed, tidy up around golf practice nets which are covered in weeds. The club invested in a short game practice area access to this area needs improved and if you were a visitor you woudnt know it was there ,this is a shame as it would enhance visitor experience at Carluke.
These are minor issue s which would easily be dealt with.
Overall a nice visit and I would be very happy to return to Carluke.
course had a different range of holes and challenges and only a few winter greens
found course is very good condition , on a very wet and windy day
Great day out
Thoroughly enjoyed playing round this course & for this time of year the course was in great condition, will definetly be back to play again in the summer months. Great food & very friendly staff & members, would recommend.
Great wee course
Lovely course to play 2 great holes 11/12 has a lovely morning playing this course
Nice course with some tough and interesting holes that will catch you out if you haven't played before
Hole in one at the 11th :) smashing course and actually better than I expected
This course has some very 'interesting' holes on the back nine, after a relatively straightforward front. It's rolling, slopey and quirky. Conditions of fairways and greens were not tiptop, but they were playable and acceptable. Upland-parkland would be about right.
Very friendly club
This was a new course to me and I despite wet underfoot conditions I thoroughly enjoyed my round. The welcome at the Pro shop was good, and the catering staff were very pleasant, with good and very reasonable fare. The course is an interesting design and challenging with a very interesting 11 th and 12th holes . The course demands all the clubs in the bag, though fairways are side and generous. Best of all were the members, a Ladies 4 ball invited us through to ensure a swift round and we were made welcome back in the clubhouse. Overall a splendid days golf and a very enjoyable course.
For the amount of rain that's fallen over the past few days the course was still in great shape loved playing the par 3s good challenge for everyone especially the elevated one could just play that hole all day would recommend this course to anyone
Was a very nice course, very open to play but challenging enough. The greens were very quick and the overall course condition was great. Staff and other golfers were friendly, would recommend going for a round.
Good course well maintained interesting to reply after many years. Layout has improved what was originally a good course. Will return sooner rather than later.
One of the best in Lanarkshire
Absolutely love this course. The layout and condition are first class, never seen it any other way. If only my golfing skills equalled the course.
Despite the showery weather had an excellent round of gold with two holes very interesting I would go back and hopefully improve
We all enjoyed the course layout and some very nice signature holes, challenging but fun
Nice layout, shame about the weather
Enjoyed my round on this interesting layout, despite the poor weather that proceeded it.
I think it is testament to the course that, despite it being so wet underfoot that at one point I managed to plug my ball whilst taking a drop from a plugged lie, I still found this a pleasant game of golf.
No two consecutive holes are the same and although not overly long it uses the slopes, trees, contouring and bunkering to keep it challenging.
It had rained heavily the 24 hours prior to our round, and although it had been dry for an hour or two before teeing off, it was clear the course had taken a pounding and was going to play wet. They had 16 full greens on and probably half of the tee boxes, but since it was a wet winter weekend this seemed like a fair result. I felt it was good value and would definitely like to come back in a dry day in summer.
We didn't use the bar or restaurant on this instance, but it looked like a fair sized facility.
Only issue we had was difficulty getting access to the locker room for retrieving shoes after the round. No one in the club house seemed to know the code for the locker room door, so make sure there will be someone around when you come before leaving anything in the clubhouse.
Brillaint course with some beautiful holes. The par 3 11th was incredible. Well maintained and friendly staff!
Well maintained course with some brilliant holes the par 3 11th and par 4 12th are two of the best I've played really enjoyed my round highly recommend to all golfers .
