Two Halves

This course has some very 'interesting' holes on the back nine, after a relatively straightforward front. It's rolling, slopey and quirky. Conditions of fairways and greens were not tiptop, but they were playable and acceptable. Upland-parkland would be about right.

Very friendly club

This was a new course to me and I despite wet underfoot conditions I thoroughly enjoyed my round. The welcome at the Pro shop was good, and the catering staff were very pleasant, with good and very reasonable fare. The course is an interesting design and challenging with a very interesting 11 th and 12th holes . The course demands all the clubs in the bag, though fairways are side and generous. Best of all were the members, a Ladies 4 ball invited us through to ensure a swift round and we were made welcome back in the clubhouse. Overall a splendid days golf and a very enjoyable course.

Great couse

Was a very nice course, very open to play but challenging enough. The greens were very quick and the overall course condition was great. Staff and other golfers were friendly, would recommend going for a round.

Absolutely love this course. The layout and condition are first class, never seen it any other way. If only my golfing skills equalled the course.

Nice layout, shame about the weather

Enjoyed my round on this interesting layout, despite the poor weather that proceeded it.
I think it is testament to the course that, despite it being so wet underfoot that at one point I managed to plug my ball whilst taking a drop from a plugged lie, I still found this a pleasant game of golf.

No two consecutive holes are the same and although not overly long it uses the slopes, trees, contouring and bunkering to keep it challenging.

It had rained heavily the 24 hours prior to our round, and although it had been dry for an hour or two before teeing off, it was clear the course had taken a pounding and was going to play wet. They had 16 full greens on and probably half of the tee boxes, but since it was a wet winter weekend this seemed like a fair result. I felt it was good value and would definitely like to come back in a dry day in summer.

We didn't use the bar or restaurant on this instance, but it looked like a fair sized facility.
Only issue we had was difficulty getting access to the locker room for retrieving shoes after the round. No one in the club house seemed to know the code for the locker room door, so make sure there will be someone around when you come before leaving anything in the clubhouse.
