Poor communication

Took day off work and booked...turned up to find course closed 24 hrs prior to arrival. The course and teetimes should work together to notify golfers booked if they are closing the course. Staff on arrival couldn't care less. Waste of time.Won't be back.. Also never got full refund back. Shocking

Appalling pace of play

Played here before during the week. We booked for Saturday afternoon, the pace of play from the medals in play was absolutely shocking. This course generally takes 3hrs 10m to complete, we walked off the 9th given we were approaching 2hrs 25m. Every tee off had people standing waiting to tee off. A pair walked off on the 5th which tells you how poor it was, and only continued to get worst. I have never ever witnessed this standard of slow play in a medal having played in many myself.

AVOID

Great Course to play

After booking via teeofftimes my mate was quick to ask if I had read the reviews... didnt sound good, so off I went to check them out. We hadnt played Torrance house in a couple of years so reading these bad reviews I was thinking of trying to change the booking but instead called the course and asked if all the holes were on and what the nick of the course was like, the guy was quick to tell me, all the holes had been on from early in the year and the course was looking in great condition...which rubbished the reviews on teeofftimes... So I decided we'd give it a whirl which I'm so glad we did. Wind was strong that day but it didnt phase us .. we got on with it and ended up having a great round... for my standard... hit 91... and beat my mate which is the main thing...so for anybody looking to book this I'd agree with the guy at the course.... Great nick for a municiple course and all holes on!! Well worth a whirl!!!

Absolutely shocking

Via Tee off times, i booked this round on a bank holiday. i would think that the course should have been busy but it was very quiet. Starters office had no recollection of my booking. the round was £22. the course was in horrific condition. i used to play here when i was younger but this was EASILY the worst course condition i have ever seen. i'll never be back. the 4th hole had a winter green off with a further wintergreen. it was surreal. i walked off after 9 holes with only 1 green i would class as playable.

Over priced

This is a good public course that has become vastly over priced. It could be a great course if they spent a bit on the upkeep, but they won't get visitors to pay for the upkeep if they don't drop the cost.
