Not very accommodating.
We had to leave after only playing 9 holes due to bad weather. Whe asked if we could come back and replay our round we were told by discruntled staff that they don’t tend to cater for Golf Now patrons as they don’t see the money for a long time so we’d have to pay again.
Terrible service that we’ve never endured on any course we’ve played yet.
Very poor poor service
Shocking
Absolute shocking treatment from this club.
Started with heavy snow on the day after we played 9 holes. We had no choice but to walk off. We were then greeted with hostility when we asked if we could have the game rescheduled or a discount on our next round.
The club house staff couldn’t have been more unhelpful disclaiming that due to the fact we had booked through golf now, we had to try and claim Back through the website. Was told that they don’t like when bookings are made through this website as they dot. Get the full money.
The woman was a atrocious in her customer service also…..
Absolute terrible terrible service from a well established club.
Will be letting everyone know and posting all over social media how bad this place actually is.
Greens were in terrible condition.
Tees we’re very poor.
Fairways still very damp and sodden.
Certainly won’t be back to this terrible pace
Lanark In January
Fantastic value for money and playing very well considering time of year and recent weather.
Great layout with many challenges and only 3 winter greens with dry fairways it’s certainly the best around imo.
Steven in the pro shop always very friendly and makes all visitors feel welcome - nice touch.
Outstanding
Played Lanark numerous times, at various times of the year and it is always immaculate. Fairways and greens were superb for the time of year and after a few days of torrential rain.
Course in great condition
Thoroughly enjoyed this trip to Lanark. Course in really good condition for October with some really nice holes. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.
In great condition and a really interesting and easy to follow layout. Hilly in places but overall it was such a good day out.
Super views of the surrounding area and young pro was very polite and welcoming.
Was held up playing behind medal theee-balls but apart from that, 5 stars from me.
I recommend it to everyone and will be back.
What a course!
I have wanted to play this iconic course for years. It did not disappoint. Spectacular views, undulating fairways, hidden features, burns to capture the ball, little gems to challenge every player. I was very lucky, on the first tee I was paired with Sandy who has played this course for over 40 years - what a guy, it was like having my own caddie..and by the end of 18 holes I had gained a friend..and that is the beauty of golf! Thank you Lanark, Thank you Sandy an amazing day out!
Great course
Lovely afternoon at Lanark
Course just beautiful
Golf now customer service
DO NOT USE GOLF NOW UNLESS YOU ARE SURE YOU CAN PLAY. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT. Unfortunately we didn’t get to play the course as the weather had been horrific and the course was closed.
This is understandable and not an issue, the real problem is with Golfnow. On the day we should have played golfnow would not allow me to cancel the booking online. I then tried the customer service number provided on the website to find the line dead. Last resort was an email to the customer service address provided. This has also gone unanswered. DO NOT USE GOLFNOW UNLESS YOU ARE SURE YOU CAN PLAY. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT.
Excellent course condition
Fantastic course to play with ground feature challenges that enhance the game. The condition of the course was excellent, for the middle of November, course played better than most clubs in height of summer. The course is playing a winter layout, which was explained by pro in shop. As first time visitors it was slightly confusing, particularly as we followed another group of visitors who were also confused. The members group behind us were obviously frustrated with sometimes slow play, however to their credit never passed comment. Direction arrows would help. A must play course and will most certainly plan a return in summer,.
