Not great

Course was in decent condition until you get to the greens. Some of them are awful. The par 3 seventh is the worst.

surprising

first time playing here was told by others not to give it a go what i learned is never listen to others lol great little course layout was a bit hilly and some greens were not great but for 12 pounds you couldn't ask for much more the burns protect the course from being overpowered from long hitters and enough bunkers that you need to be accurate both from tee and fairway pace of play was excellent overall i would recommend it to anybody in the area who wants a round that is not costly but still has enough to keeps you interested to give this wee james braid course a go

Great summer golf

This short course is great in summer. Hard wide fairways and tricky elevated greens. Practice Putting green and chipping area next to 1st tee is ideal if you arrive early. The ground staff are working all over the course and it’s well maintained. The short par 3 8th green is currently under repair and after the work is finished is should be up to the standard of the other greens. A good value parkland course with great daily offers. I would recommend for all golfers especially the short hitters as there are 6 par 3s.

Early morning round

Booked online and picked up scorecard from friendly staff member at 1st tee. Course was well maintained and map on scorecard helps for first time visitors. A small putting area was handy to get the feel for the greens. Very short par 65 course with 6 par 3s and no par 5s. Quite hilly in places which you can use to your advantage especially on the elevated tee of the downhill 4th hole “Bank”. The course was quiet during my round and was great value for 3 hours of golf. Watch the steep kerb in places when parking at the adjacent gravel car park. A most enjoyable 18 holes and I would recommend a visit to play this Southside parkland course with great views of Glasgow and beyond.

Arrived at 10:30 for 11:00 start. No professional present in fact no one present. Unable to hire clubs for my partner so played alone. Enjoyable short course.

Poor tees and green

Overall a nice little layout, however quality of greens and tees was poor. Patchy greens and some very bare and uneven tees.

First and Last Time

You get what you pay for!
£9 and some lovely views over the city and the Highlands way to the north.
The greens and tees were awful but will probably improve as the season progresses.
Cheap but not so cheerful, much better courses around for not much more.
The staff were very helpful.

Great layout, well drained. Just the greens let it down as so much sand and drainaige holes make it more like luck when you put out.
