Given its seaside location overlooking picturesque farmland to the north and the Forth Estuary to the south, golfers would expect Scoonie Golf Club to be a traditional links layout but it is actually a parkland course. The stunning views of the surrounding countryside contrast nicely with the views of the sea. Long hitters might be disappointed since the golf course is quite short at 5,494 yards with the longest hole only reaching to 430 yards. It is a tight layout that is tough but fair. Accuracy is a necessity since players can find themselves facing a handful of problems from going even just a little wide. The club proudly boasts well manicured fairways and greens that are maintained to the highest standard. It is because of the excellent conditions that Scoonie Golf Club has garnered quite a following.

Windy weather
Walked

Scoonie on a relatively quiet day

Course is in good condition albeit there are some areas of the course that are under or need repair. its a municipal course so would expect maintenance being dependent upon local authority funding. Bunkers particularly difficult to play out from when theres Pebbles and small stones mixed in with quite a rough sand. All in all its a course thats easy to walk and is forgiving , never tried the off course amenities , too many covid rules being applied just now to take any risks.

Excellent municipal golf course

Fife Golf Trust should be commended for such a good golf course. The fairways were in very good condition as were the greens. Other players on the course, predominantly locals, were friendly and helpful. A most enjoyable round of golf and despite all of us being fairly local and links golfers, we would certainly go back to this pleasant parkland course. Well done Scoonie.

Gets your golf back in shape

Great course to get your golf back in shape.Challenging but not overly difficult.Disappointed today with slow play caused by golfers not following or knowing what to do to go at an acceptable pace

Lovely little course,

Great wee course,a wee bit boggy as to be expected after all the recent rain ,only thing that spoils it is that there are still no markers on the tee to give distance n hole number which is annoying as this situation has been dragging on for a long time now.
