The Golf Club at North Hampton offers a traditional Scottish links-style course right in northeast Florida. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the layout meanders through dramatic elevation changes of over 40 feet and ten spring-fed lakes lined with coquina boulders. Sprawled across rolling hills and wild grasses, the golf course is sculpted from beautiful Florida woodlands, offering a round that is as scenic as it is challenging. The Golf Club at North Hampton's hard-to-read greens are massive and move very quickly. There are also tight fairways, many of which feature blind approaches. To make it even trickier, strong winds often sweep through the course, some even reaching a speed of 30 miles an hour.

North Hampton.

Of course many Fl Courses are wide, flat and friendly.
This course did not make you feel you were in Fl.
The trees, bunkers and water were nicely placed to require you pay attention.
Greens were a C+ and I assume they had recently been aerated and were healing. There design and contours offered appropriate challenges.

Sweet and Sour

This course is sweet bc visually it’s very nice. Meandors through some nice houses and also some natural areas. In very good condition except the bunkers, they looked like they had been washed out by rain and that they haven’t been refilled with sand, it’s not all of them but all you’ve got to do is avoid them right? However the sourness comes into to play by the challenge of the course. A good bit of blind tee shots where you can’t see the ball roll out, lots of fairway bunkers and the greens......... they are large greens however they do have a lot of undulation and they will test your green reading ability. Also, the fairways are a very good size however, if you miss a fairway there isn’t much rough to keep you from getting lost. Fun course, you’ll enjoy it and lots of different tee options to choose from for your playing level. The carts do not have GPS but they do have USB ports for your devices. Have Fun!!!!

Great layout, fun greens with lots of character

It was a great day of golf for my wife and I. Lots of water and other hazards. It was probably just today, but the pace of play was really fast. We played in about 3 hours and 20 minutes as a twosome. I highly recommend and hope to get a chance to play again soon.

A must play
This course is wonderful
It is a real test of golf
Make sure to pick the appropriate tee to fit your handicap
The layout is to die for
The greens were somewhat slow but that was due to unusually warm weather currently

North Hampton

The course lay out is terrific and unlike most courses her in Northeast Florida. This course is a must play. Layout is fair for all levels of ability. The most surprising was how nice the course is and the condition is great. This is a must play

Great Deal!

Used a Golf Pass code, and got a great deal. Greens were ok, and the bunkers were washed out from recent rain. Even so, it's a great layout, and very fair. Would recommend it highly.

Nice Course and Fair

Had heard a lot about the course, and how difficult it is. In my experience it was very playable, with lots of options on which tees to play, and there was a blue/white, and white/green tee combination, which is easy to follow on the easy to read scorecard. We played the white/green tee combo. The front was a bit easier, and the back was a bit more challenging, but also better looking. Would play again, and I recommend it.

One of my favorite in the area/ punched greens

This is one of if not my favorite course in the Amelia Island area. Have played there 3 times now since moving to the South Georgia area a few months ago and it is always challenging.
The layout is perfect with strategically placed water and the occasional elevation change.
Staff is super friendly and there’s always someone right there to help you with your clubs. Sometimes hard to find a starter but could be because I usually play around noon or later.
My only small issue (not sure if it falls on Golfnow or the club) is that I was not told prior to my round that the holes were recently punched. Nothing wrong with servicing the course obviously but I would like to be warned by either GolfNow or the club when I book if the greens were recently punched.
Overall I love the course and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good course at a fair price in the North Florida/South Georgia area.

Love the links-style layout

This is a very challenging course but a lot of risk-reward opportunities. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The only downside was the greens had been punched so putting was a challenge. Will definitely play again soon. Traffic can be a challenge so plan plenty of drive time. And there's a train crossing.
