Fun laid back course
This was a fun fast paced (you can get 18 holes in fast) course. The back nine has some fun elevation changes and water.
Cougar
Course is good for 12+ handicappers looking for an enjoyable day. Greens roll very true without much undulation. Course book gives good information about distances and hazards. A little Highway and Plane noise, but nothing terrible. Great staff - both helpful and friendly. Worth a play, good for a relaxing, fun, and reasonable golf outing.
Greens are Excellent
Very well maintained greens that putt exceptionally true.
memorial day
Fairways a little shaggy but course is in excellent shape. Greens putted smooth and were fairly quick.
Good value for the money
I have played this course several times. This course is a tale of two nines. The front nine is easier than the back nine. There are a few easy holes but on the par 5s you have to hit it long and watch out for the hazards.
Course is in great shape!
Course is in great shape. Course is challenging but not too hard.
Course provides challenges and variety.
The course has a variety of challenges based a lot on the use of water, as hitting over and around 3 ponds and a creek that winds its way through the course will provide you the proof. Added to that are some sidehills that accentuate the care needed around some of the water areas and you find you need to play smart golf and be careful about your distances to stay out of the water. Water is part of 12 of the 18 holes at Lake Windsor Country Club, and the club does not even touch Lake Windsor itself. The course offers a nice spectrum of looks as you play, nothing looking repeated, so it is a course that you can come back to time and again.
Staff are super Friendly
Great course to play. The course is well maintained. Staffs are super friendly.
The course has challenging greens & pin placments
The course was in the best shape I've seen it in years. It appears the new owners are intent on getting back to where it was years ago.
Course needs upgrade
Course needs upgrade

Greens need to be rolled
fun course not long but challenging be accurate
the course was fun pretty and very unique accuracy a must nice green very friendly staff Chad was great, golf now have great value,
The course was in good condition
overall a good day, in the past this course has had water trouble and appears to have been rectified. i will say i do miss the former back 9 that has been dimantled
poor condition
i did not have a great experience at Lake Windsor GC when I played it as the course was in terrible condition, mostly due to the fact that there was flooding earlier in the year and it just hasn't recovered from it. the fairways are very rough and so are the greens. it was disappointing putting on the greens as it seems nobody repairs ball marks any more and there were just tons of gouges all over the front 9. the other poor experience that i had was the grounds crew were maintaining it at the time of play. i waited on every hole for them to either move out of the fairway or the green. i used to play the course a few times a year in the past but alas i believe my time will be spent better golfing elsewhere.
Good variety of challenges
Trees, water and elevation obstacles are found often enough to keep a golfer alert. They have been elevating the fairways to reduce some of the wet areas and are doing a good job. Front nine rather easy compared to rating but back nine might be more difficult than its rating.
Lake Windsor
Just so...so but one of the four liked it...
I've played it over the years and it's just not in my top ten courses.
Good course.
Fun course. Good price. Alittle wet, has some low spots. But over all fun.
Rough around the Edges
This course could use some attention. There were many barren spots even on the fairway. The greens and traps were well maintained. We went out as a threesome on a nice Wednesday at noon, and there were very few people golfing. The staff was OK. The course itself is quite challenging, with tons of water to hit over, many doglegs, and some thick rough. At the price we paid through Golf.now, it was more than worth the price, since we had booked one of the pre-paid "Hot Deals".
Challenging for all levels of players.
I liked the idea of the clocks at the tee boxes on the back nine to show you if you're playing at the right pace.
Not a bad value for the money.
This was the second time this summer that I played Lake Windsor through a Golf Now deal. The course was in better shape this time (torrential rains closed half the holes the first time), though you can tell this course has issues retaining water. It rained the previous day and earlier in the morning, and it was evident. All in all, though, the course was in good shape and the greens were decent. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I played from the blacks, and this course can prove a challenge with some tough tee placements and some lengthy par 4s from that distance. Plenty of water and fescue grass to also find trouble on ample holes. But (in part thanks to the rain) the pace of play was fast on this day. Though it has been slow in the past. Bottom line: If I had to pay the full rate, I may look elsewhere. But at the prices offered through Golf Now, it seems like a pretty decent deal.
Course is in good shape.
Somewhat shorter course but it has a nice layout and is in good shape. The greens have good speed and roll pretty true. I definitely would play the course again.
