Trappers Turn Golf Club - Arbor/Lake
About
Trappers Turn Golf Club offers 27 holes of championship golf that stretch across scenic terrain that was carved by glaciers. The holes are divided into the Lake, Canyon, and Arbor nines, which can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. Andy North and Roger Packard collaborated to design all of the holes. The Arbor/Lake Course starts with the newest nine, which was added in 2000. This nine is known for its scenic views since it has the Rocky Arbor State Park as its neighbor. The Lake nine has four holes that wrap around the 13-acre Mystic Lake. It has a links-style design that incorporates a variety of elevation changes in addition to the water features. Trappers Turn also has a practice facility with a driving range, putting and chipping greens, and six target greens.

Laying out
Every hole was excited don't know what coming up to see.
Trapper’s Turn
Pleasantly surprised at the beautiful condition of this course.
Great Staff
I was greeted by staff member Brent Geffert with a big smile and warm greeting! He took us to our cart, made sure we had everything we needed for the round. Great customer service! Course was in great shape. Will definitely recommend.
Beautiful Course
The course layout is very fun some very challenging holes along with some easier holes. I will defiantly be back.
Resort Golf
The level of service here was off the charts, we rolled in with a group of 12 and they had signage out to welcome us in and genuinely seemed excited to have us. Not sure if this was due to the early season COVID restrictions, or because we were there on a Thursday, but either way it was a great way to start our trip and set the tone for a fantastic day.
The food and beverage was reasonable and ready fast which is always a plus. The cost of the round with the Wisconsin Classic Golf Trial was $65 which had us feeling like we stole something based on the conditions. Being associated with a Dells resort is normally a great way to ensure heavy play, but with the recent restrictions the course was in perfect shape with minimal divots on the tee boxes and fairways.
This being my first "resort" course it met and exceeded all my expectations. The layout was great, a few treks between the green and tee boxes might make walking a little tough but not unbearable. The greens were fair and true, faster than the courses we came from. Practice facility was set up really well and when starting on the Arbor course, was right on the way to the first tee. There is a variety of tees to choose from, something for everyone and playing around 6,300 didn't seem too long and gave some opportunities to attack some par 5s in two.
After playing courses in the area for 5 days, and playing the other resort courses, this left a lasting impression on me and in my mind as the highest rated. The value I got with the Wisconsin Classic Trail book will be really difficult to beat.
Not Wild Rock but real good
you better hit em straight here as Trappers Turn will challenge the lowest of handicapps...some tight holes. Well kept. Greens that moved. Great value at $70
Hidden Gem
This course will be one of your favorites. Just a treat for layout and greens were awesome. Even though there was a ton of rain the day before, the course was in good shape. I love this course and will play it when I’m up there.
Overpriced
Need better greens and areas surrounding greens for that price. Used to be better. Play Wild Rock.
Ummm...
Not $109 greens. Areas around greens were bare in some spots which isn’t up to par with the price. This isn’t the US Open so cut the rough, please. Everything leaked off the fairways and made it tough to find your ball every time in the thick rough. Remember it being better in previous years, don’t let it slip any further. Wild rock and Trappers used to be on the same level...Wild Rock is superior to Trapper’s in all facets. Staff was friendly. Ps: have a wisc rate discount for drinks, but keep gouging the Cub’s fans for $10 a drink.
Nice Layout
All three of the nines have some unique holes. The course is very playable for every level golfer.
Nice Getaway
I wanted to sneak off while the family was in the water park. I'd def come back
