Great Value - Challenging Course
Though not a long course Apple Mountain is a challenging layout. A lot of elevation changes with ball placement a must. This course is worth a visit. Great value.
Food
They need more water, stuffs and food, better food more of it, and ice chest on the carts
Perfect weather in the 90’s and beautiful scenery.
Starting at 1pm the pace was great and the scenery was beautiful and the the staff seemed to know what they were doing. The only problem was the lack of some snacks and beverage due to the power outage which was not really the golf course’s fault.
Fairways well maintained, greens were were cleaned. Greens were super fast and undulating so missed 3-4 birdy chances. Because most of the fairways are sloped so the carts were not allowed that made us very difficult to get to the second shots. Although we like to course, we cannot play here as often as we would like to, especially we are middle 80’s and not easy to walk up the hills.
Great course
This is one of the best courses to play in northern California and the most challenging. I just wish they had a better restaurant with more barbecue food.
COURSE WAS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION. PACE OF PLAY WAS EXCELLENT. CAN"T WAIT TO COME BACK HERE WITH GOLF BUDDIES.
Pace of play
That schedule groups too close! Having to wait 10 to 20 min per hole haven’t been able to finish a round in under 5 hours the last three times I’ve played and had to skip holes. Don’t play hear hear unless you have a 6 hours to kill!
Poor course management
Having played Apple Mountain many times over the years, we have usually come away satisfied with the pace of play, course conditions and personnel. However, yesterday as we made the turn we discovered management had allowed a ten person "competition" to occupy both the 10th and 11th fairways. After contacting the pro shop, we were initially told they were unaware of group and the only option was to skip holes 10 and 11 and perhaps play them at the end of the round. This was not possible for some members of our group resulting in an incomplete round and overall disappointing day.
Pace of play
Please let all golfers know that they have to let the group behind them pass when there are 4 or 5 holes open in front of them.
Draw shots save the day
6 hole placements were diabolical- - beautiful holes - greens fast- draw shots save the day
