Great course but need work on the greens.
You need to like water to play this one. Enjoy the views on some holes a the Iguana's.
Course was "Just OK". My first course in Puerto Rico was at Bahia so I guess this spoiled me a lot.
The course at Bahia set the bar a bit high for Del Mar. Del Mar is an older course and seemed a lot more run down, riddled with roadways and villas. Still worth playing if you are local but I would prefer to head down south to the Rio Grande Courses. Would like to try Trumps course in Rio Grande. Bahia should be a staple in your selections though. Staff at Del Mar were bland and almost non-existent. They did not have course maps and only used photocopied scoresheets. Staff at Bahia was tremendously friendly and appeasing. Professional Score cards and maps. Great Course!!!!
Course was interesting and had some challenging holes!
Good layout, but not the pristine conditions we expected for the price you pay. There were no consistent yard markers, so difficult to judge shot distance when you're not familiar with the course. 10th hole, par 5 uphill provided first good view of the ocean, and plenty of water on the back nine. Par 5 finishing hole was a surprise ending-crunched my drive and then couldn't figure out what to use for 2nd shot not knowing the layout. Decided on a 5 Wood, crunched that shot only to find out that there was water there in from of the green, lost ball and settled for bogie after two best shots of the day! Greens seemed worn out, but rolled true. They should really put some of those expensive green fees back into the course!!! Was fun day though!!
This course is challenging
Course have long pars fives. Up and down hills. Greens are in great conditions.
Good variety of holes.
Due to recent rain the course was very wet in many places. However we enjoyed the course and due to the wet conditions there were not may players.
