Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course

Very surprised at the course conditions they were in great shape. Well worth the money if you live in the area! Staff welcomed you and other players were friendly.

This is a great place to play without spending a fortune. The course is always is decent shape and its fun to play.

Clubhouse has been moved & there was repair work being done around the course. The carts need replacement & the cart staff seemed a bit indifferent, the clubhouse attendant was extremely friendly & helpful. Greens were in excellent shape as were the fairways but the rough was a bit thick for a muni.
Overall, however, the course plays well & worth the price.

I play this course on a regular basis and I have to say, for a municipal course this place is in great shape. I have played some pretty terrible municipal courses in my life but this one is well maintained. The pace of play is kind of slow and sometimes you get the group that has 5 people and won't let you play through. This course is not that long and plays very fair for all hitters. I am a fairly long hitter so I usually play the tips and still manage mid to short irons into the greens off the tee, except for a couple of the par 5's. They just recently moved into their renovated club house which is in excellent condition, the food is on point and I make sure to eat there every time I golf. I would definitely recommend this course to someone to play.

We played on a wet day when the course was "cart path only." This was not a problem for us, because we had a first timer with us and we're more concerning with not holding anyone up and not spending a bunch of money. We picked a good day because, with the exception of letting a group behind us play through, it was like we had the course to ourselves.
We are looking forward to going back to this course under better conditions, but were impressed with the layout. Several fairways had water standing in them, making for a tough round, but we still had fun introducing a newcomer to the game with no pressure to play quickly.
Nice water placement on several holes, good sized greens, friendly staff, gas carts, and many other perks. They even let us borrow a cooler for our drinks. Great course for the money!
We will definitely go again.

I had a good round. The course was in good condition. The putting green was closed for top dressing with sand. Kind of a bummer, but you have to work on it to keep it good. The foursome in front of me refused to let me play through. Other than that I had a great day.

Course is great for any golfer im a average golfer and this course has nice greens very large and receptive to balls. Greens are quick but not to fast overall im very pleased with the course a go to favorite for me and my friends and family, If you get a chance grab some lunch or breakfast from the grill very reasonable and good food. staff is very friendly.

The course just finished with the Wayne County Amateur competition. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes are in great shape. You will enjoy the wide open features. Great value for the money. The greens are receptive to balls landing and sticking. Now is the time to play this course. You will not be disappointed. Weekends will probably be slower for Saturday morning tee times.

Course has installed frisbee cages and soccer tubs around all the green very distracting from the golf experience

This was my first time playing GMGC. What a pleasant surprise! Not a long course but some very good short par 4's. and nice par 3's. The greens were in excellent condition. They are rather large and undulating. The bunkers were washed out from heavy rain the day before but other than that, the overall course was in very good shape for early spring. I will definitely play again!

Staff was friendly. Never even had to enter the pro shop. They met me outside. Course was wet (recent rain) but greens were great. Finished in under 3 hours. Great day!

This is a great course for the money. The fairways are tight but manageable. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond what they needed too to make us enjoy our day. We had to tee off late due to the weather but like I said the staff made if all worth while.
Me and my friends will go back for sure.
