Belmont Lake Golf Club

Would not honor GolfNow online reservation-even when I showed him confirmation. I had to pay the “street” rate as he said GolfNow info was in error and from now on I should bypass GolfNow and call the golf course directly. Pace of play was awful….2 groups on every hole waiting to tee off. No ranger on course and lots of complaints.. All that said, I do not recommend until customer service is vastly improved.

First visit to what is now a favorite of ours. Beautiful layout Lots of space. Great staff. Great restaurant to have lunch after the round

live in Raleigh and have been playing Belmont Lake for many years. Our foursome absolutely loves the course. It is in as good a shape as anything in Raleigh and is a great layout. Fun.

Belmont lake is my favorite course to play at. The conditions have always been top of the line and it’s at a fair price. It is the best bang for your buck, in my opinion. There are 2 downfalls to this course. Pace of play, which happens at a semi private club and I get that, and cart girls/snack bar. I went out there at 3pm and never once had an opportunity to buy a drink. If that could change I think this course is in the top 10% in the state of North Carolina. This course is simply exceptional! It's going to be disappointing when it goes dormant, right now (late Sep 2021) the fairways are the best I've ever played. Ur ball literally sits right on top of the grass most of the time. Greens are receptive and roll true. Traps are in good shape. The sand is a little different than I'm use to, pretty easy to leave a ball in if you don't give it a good thump.
Roughs can be punishing (thick Bermuda) but the fairways are plenty wide.
A golf app is a necessity playing the 1st couple times to avoid trouble.

First time playing Belmont was a very nice course. Played on a Monday and was all alone seems like I had the course to myself!

we had heard this was a great golf course and worth the drive. Great driving range, course was in excellent shape and price was very fair. Pace of play was 4 hours

This was my third trip to this course and we were looking forward to a good afternoon of golf but unfortunately we didn’t get an opportunity to play today, I made our tee time on Golf Now 3-4 days ago and wasn’t aware that there was an amateur tournament going on there this weekend. We arrived about an hour and half before our tee time to warm up on the range and were met by a large group on and around the course. We went inside to check in and were told about the tournament and it might be a while before we could get out. We waited for about another hour and a half and then decided to go try another course that was near by. My son told me later that the tournament was listed on the club website but there was nothing mentioned in Golf Now so I guess I should have checked the club before making the tee time. So we didn’t get our chance today here but I won’t get discouraged and we’ll try again another day. We really enjoy this course and look forward to coming back again. I am a little puzzled as to why they were taking tee times with the tournament going on but hey, it’s ok, like I said, we’ll try again.
