Lake Shastina
Beautiful day it was. The views of Mt. Shasta are stunning and a stroll through the pines into the open meadows call for more golf here.
Awesome
This course never disappoints. Always friendly staff, great course conditions and beautiful views of Mt Shasta. My favorite course in N. California
Last course before heading home
Got up early to play this course that looked beautiful and challenging. The yardage guide was very helpful with all the doglegs. The view of MT Shasta forget as spectacular. Lots of wildlife to see also.
Great morning
Had a 7:50am tee time and weather prediction was 44 degree that morning. Well it was chilly but not freezing as expected. After an hour the sun was out and our day was perfect. Loved the layout of the course. One thing I notice that’s different than most courses is how nice the green we’re. I mean very very little divots which tells me the members and local players take good care of their course. Tricky part was some greens are very fast and others normal. We will be back.
Nice course but a little bit out-of-the-way.
This course was a decent value for the price and conditions. Staff was relatively friendly the greens had good speed and more than average break. The fairways were unusually narrow for the size and width of the allotted area for fairway and rough. The sand traps were made of a very fine volcanic sand or aggregate. It may getting out of the sand traps very unique and you need to practice this to get out and have success on the green. Overall I would play this again as it was challenging and an overall good experience.
Maintenance
Very friendly staff, playing time great, but the condition of the course was not as good as it has been in the past. A little dry and some of the greens have issues.
Beautiful
Mt Shasta reigns throughout the course. We had clear pristine skies with poofs of steam halo ing the mountain. Course was well kept. The sand traps however were dense with little give, the greens were fast, typical to end of summer dry course conditions
