Just a half-mile from the beach, Atlantic Beach Country Club (formerly known as Selve Marina Country Club) offers scenic seaside views but that also means every hole is subject to gusty ocean winds. The golf course has a traditional links-style layout with wide fairways and small, rolling greens. There are also some elevated greens.
This player-friendly golf course provides excellent short game practice. Atlantic Beach C. C's signature hole is the famous, par-5 18th where Jack Nicklaus recorded his first "double eagle" at the Greater Jacksonville Open in 1966. In addition to the golf course, Atlantic Beach Country Club also offers a driving range as well as practice, pitching, and putting greens for golfers to use.

Had a great time here. The course is in good shape. The greens were real good and some were being repaired making those holes shorter. Even the temporary greens in the fairway were okay. I loved this course and will continue playing here on a regular basis.
Fun but Challenging
This course is a private course so the ratings pre 2015 are no longer valid. Updated and redesigned, the architect developed a course that plays fair if you are a better than intermediate golfer. The real challenge comes into play on the greens. Usually fast with no real fringe so learn how to bump and run if you do not have a perfect wedge. The staff is excellent, the condition is excellent, and the off course amenities are great. If you have a chance to play - enjoy!

This is one of the nicest courses I have ever played.
