Galgorm castle
My son and I could not get over how good condition the course was in overall.it has had money and attention spent on it in recent years.the course was mainly dry under foot compared to other parklands we have played recently.
The greens were remarkably consistent and true, this must be a benefit from hosting the ni open.
Good mix of holes, well done ,keep it up.
day out
the golf and club staff were friendly and helpful. The course was wet after the last couple of weeks rain and playing its full length
Slow play at best
booked through teeoftimes and wished i hadnt at the home of the Northern Ireland Open.Course was very wet and pathways complete mudbaths but worst of all was the pace of play. Almost 3 hours for first 9 holes and then came the tenth where a very welcome bar and food service was set up but this only made the slow play worse as 4 x 4 balls having refreshments and waiting to tee off and was a major problem and bottleneck. After taking another hour to play next 2 holes just gave up and wont be back in a hurry, Why no one was out on course to deal with the slow play i will never know but reckon if i had stayed til the end would have taken around 6.5 hrs which is a joke
Top course in northern ireland
As always this course is perfect, we would always play after the northern irish open when the stands are still up and not a blade of grass is out of place, would book via golfnow as its even better value for money. 5*
This course was outstanding
Played the course with my local 4 ball, we found the course in excellent condition only thing I found on the downside was bunkers could of had more sand was a bit hard, shouldn't of been in it I know, other than that it was a great day out I would recommend this course to anyone very friendly staff.
Galgorm Castle Golf Club
The course is in great condition, greens are fast but in near perfect condition, so they run true, We had great day I would recommend this course to anyone.
galgorm golf club
What a round of golf. Totally loved my first experience of galgorm. Was tough yet I felt I played a decent round. Tee box's where like greens, fairways like carpet considering the rain we had and the greens ran fast and true, and a hotdogs on the 10th went don't a treat. I will most certainly be back if on golf now again. my buddy and i got paired with another two ball for the first time and it just added to the experience. Wonderful day.
Good course
A bit damp under foot but to be expected with the recent rain but very enjoyable
Galgorm Castle
Played there on the 19th Feb 2017 and was pleased at the condition of the course, the greens in particular were fast and true. There is work going on in prep for the Northern Ireland Open later this year but that doesn't distract from the experience. We were lucky with the weather and the 9th hole bar was open which is welcome at any time!
club is not allowing electric trolleys at this time of year although they were very accommodating. To one of our party who isn't in great health and allowed him to use. Pull trolleys not an issue as it's relatively flat.
Not the first time we've played there, and not the last!!
Enjoyable day out.
Very enjoyable course in really good condition.
Greens are excellent.
Tuesday is lady's day so they have priority.
There is a garden centre with a restaurant on the estate so handy for lunch or a snack.
This course is challenging
The course is well laid out and provides a challenge for all types of golfers. Played regularly it would improve your game.
Excellent course
I went on a typical Northern Ireland summer (wet).for a wet day the course was great the ball had bounce and had good run on fairway. The green were a bit wet had water gathering on the but as I said it was really wet. The course Handel water almost like a coast course really. Also I had to deal with member not letting us play through but that's what members do ha ha.
Spacious parkland course
Great days golf , course in excellent condition . Especially for this time of year .practice facilities also very good and staff very friendly and helpful . I've played galgorm many times and will be back several times this year (hopefully) A real gem. And an unbelievable deal
Book Book Book!!
I recently had the pleasure of playing a round at Galgorm, this was my first time at the club and I would have no hesitation to recommend booking to anyone!! The pace of play was perfect, despite the recent weather the course was in great condition, staff friendless was second to none and what was a great round was topped off with a lovely meal in the clubhouse afterwards.
Course closed!
Would love to tell you more but the course was closed due to weather conditions.
Staff great and the restaurant was excellent!
Will try again soon!
A challenging course
This truly is a championship course. The fairways are tight. The greens can play fast due to the weather.Always a great days golf.
