Fun course
1st time playing there in three years. Course has some interesting holess
Great course in bad shape
The Highlands Ridge courses have been very nice in the past, but were taken over by a New York company that absolutely doesn't understand anything about running this type of business. At one time, the South Course restaurant was a thriving business, but it's now closed. The greens on the South Course roll OK, but are infested with weeds, and patches of sand. I understand the golf courses and common areas have been purchased by a new owner, and I wish him the best of luck. Hopefully, the courses will be returned to their original glory,,,
Poor condition
Played today the course is in poor condition tee boxes hadn't been cut recently and weeds on greens
All the resources seem to be invested in the north course
Disappointed to be charged full price when the course doesn't reflect the cost and no clubhouse open for a post game drink
Must do better before we will return
Average course in average condition
Enjoyable to play. Is short, but narrow with plenty of water on almost every hole. It's tricky, but greens are fairly generous in size. I enjoyed playing it the 2nd and 3rd time, but not the 1st. The conditions could be better as some of the fairways were in sub-par conditions, and the cartpaths were bruised quite badly.
Highland ridge south
I have been playing here for 10 years in the winter months, I know that they have had a lot of rain and that the course does not drain well. But some French drains would really help . The greens were poor , very slow and had some fungal thing going on. It used to be in much better shape I think they are more concerned with the north course. Hope it improves otherwise I won't be back this winter!
Hidden jewel
I truly enjoyed this course. Due to a mistake on my part I asked the staff to play Highlands north instead of south ,without blinking the answer was No Problem. The course is a jewel, the staff very accommodating and ready to help at every turn. The course is in excellent condition and the play is brisk ,nice job.You will enjoy your round and the club house is beautiful. The only complaint I have are there are not enough air conditioners on the course. Just kidding go there uyou will enjoy
Great condition for this time of year
Will play again soon. Appeared that the greens had recently been aerated but grass had grow back in and ball rolled well. Fairways were well filled in a in above average condition. Only issue was low laying areas had water. But nothing course could have done as we have received above average rainfall recently.
course condition
The course was in excellent shape could not believe the price.
Challenging but Fun
Very good course and value, challenging and in excellent condition
good greens
We've played here twice - very enjoyable. Staff very friendly. Fairways and greens very good condition. Moderate green speed. Lots of sand traps with soft sand. Will play here again. We recommend this course.
Fun to play
Has challenging holes that are not too long. A couple w/ length but more open. Fun to play as it has grass on fairways.
Highlands County Golf
This is one of the bests golf courses in Highlands County. The course is in great condition, and offers a challenging layout for the experienced golfer.
This is not a course for duffers !
If you are coming to Highlands County to play golf put this one on your list !
Good value
Good course for the money. Agronomy was good and bunkers had nice depth of sand. Greens were a bit slow for my taste. Only running at about a 12 on stimpmeter.
BEST GREENS I EVER PLAYED
MY SON AND I PLAYED THE COURSE AND IT WAS FANTASTIC. IT WAS IN GREAT SHAPE. FAIRWAYS WAS IN GREAT SHAPE THE GREENS WAS THE BEST I EVER PUTTED ON EVEN BETTER THE BIGGER CLUBS IN ORLANDO. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK
VANCE
Gheens had a slow roll to them
Fairways were great look up the course was excellent but the greens are very slow
Great course
Course was in great shape and a joy to play. Can't wait to play it again.
Short yet challenging
Good alternative to the longer, more open North course. Has a "northern" touch with a lot of trees, and rolling terrain. Has the Flooda touch being situated in the middle of Orange groves and a bordering game reserve. Well worth the money.
Excellent Value
A shot makers course , not long but challenging. Tee boxes could be cut a little closer, fairways in very good shape and the greens excellent. A little out of the way but well worth the drive. Really enjoyed ourselves. Just a great value for GolfNow. No food available until 11:00am. We were first off the tee so only vending machines available.
Target golf
Tight course. Trouble on both sides. Hitting the fairway a must to score well. You won't use a driver on every hole. Fun course if youre up for a challenge.
Thanks for the nice compliments stemar. We are glad you enjoyed playing our South course
