Course was in bad condition. greens were rough, fairways sandy
Has great potential
This was the first time that I have played this course. I read other reviews but decided to go and play there anyway so I can judge myself. I'm glad I went. The greens had just been seeded and you can see that they were coming back nicely. They should be fine in about a week. This has to be done at some point in order to let them grow. Staff was great! Pace of play was very good and fairways were in decent shape and are narrow so it makes you think about club selection. I will be returning again because I want to give the course a fair assessment. I had a great round and a great time.
Save your money
The course is in terrible condition. Sparse grass on fairways, no grass on greens. They are seeding the greens, so putting is impossible. I haven’t played here for awhile as it was bad last year. It sure has gotten worse.
The course was in bad shape.
We we're not warned that the course was going to be over seeded that day and we did not get to play
Two holes because of this . Also the course had been arrated the week before and the greens were in bad shape.
Not a pleasant experience
Tee boxes terrible, fairways terrible and the greens terrible
A relaxing day at Highland hills
The weather was warm and windy so not too many golfers on the course. I had a moderately paced relaxing day and enjoyed myself immensely.
Great time
Me and my wife played. Staff was very friendly, and we love how the driving range had many different yardage markers so you can practice many different clubs, know the distance your hitting them and have a target to aim towards.
Good greens, but............
Been a couple months since I played here, so I was surprised at the overall conditions. The Greens have held up very well. In fact, most of them on the back 9 are as good as any course in the area. However, most of the Tee Boxes and Fairways are back to the condition they were back in the late Spring/early Summer drought stage. The Fairways are so rough that they can shake you out of the cart if you aren't careful. I moved my ball to a preferred lay when I could find one within a 1 foot radius on the Fairway, but even then the ball would sometimes act like I was hitting off the cart path. I recommend this course based on the Greens. If some time/effort was put into making the Tee Boxes fit for use again and the Fairways smoothed out and seeded, I would praise this as one of the local gems. Right now, I'm staying away until I hear/read of some improvements.
1st and last time to play this course
It started when I went to get in the golf cart.. Everyone that was available had the seats taped. Some would scratch your legs if you had shorts on... After playing the 1st hole my cart was dead. So I had to walk back to the club house and pick out another gem.. I asked were the blue tee markers were and they said just play from any where. Almost all of the tee boxes were in very poor condition no grass on most of them. About a third of the greens were in great shape but very very slow. The other 2/3 of the greens were fair at best...I paid $10 to play and got a $6 golf course
affordable, rates match the course
If you purchase from last minute golf app, the guy in pro shop said he will not honor price unless its for 11:15 Even though they sell for different times. This could be a major problem if you are traveling to this course from a distance. Good thing is this course is affordable.
Not so good Now
I wouldn't play here now. They only have 9 holes available so you have to play the back 9 twice. I paid so little because I had a $10 credit and a $10 reward.
Highland Hills
Refused to honor our "Golf Now" reservations. Cost us an additional $30 to play.
