Edenderry course Malone
Payed this 9 hole course for the 1st time
The course was in great shape and can be very testing with plenty of trees about it.My only
complaint is when teeing off , this being my 1st time I hadn't a clue what direction to drive perhaps a photo showing the direction to the pin would help
Apart from that everything spot on and I'd highly recommend it
What an experience, club looked fantastic. Staff were helpful in showing me to the practice areas, toilets and first tee. I knew I was playing a nine hole course so I wasn't expecting anything fancy. But what a surprise, the first was a monster par 4 of the back tees. Tee box's were in good condition and level. Fairways were in good condition with a few damp spots but very tight so accuracy is essential. Every hole was unique and a challenge. Especially the par 3 over trees. Altogether a wonderful round of golf. Will certainly recommend and will be back to play again although the pro said it was cheaper to ring up than it was on the golf now app. And directions to the next hole would be great and numbers at the tee box's would be great.
The course was in great condition and weather really good. Our round went very smoothly and staff were friendly, although no one explained that we needed to play the same 9 holes again which took us some time to work out. The course could do with more directions from hole to hole as first-time visitors we found it annoying at times when you coildn't see the next tee box.
Great wee cousre
Nine hole course in exclusive Malone GC. Over 6000 yards in length. Great variety of holes. Great value. Would definitely recommend and will darken their door again soon. ( a bit hilly in places)
Great 9 holes good value
Found the course to be in good condition, couple of tough par 5s and some challenging tee shots and approach shots. Green fees very good value, I find the course to be in consistent order when I play here and always enjoy this 9
Not too bad
It's nothing compared to the main course but it's a fraction of the price. Yes no yardage markers is poor but it is on GPS. Some very good holes (1,2,3,5,8,9), some excellent (7) and one poor (4).
U can use all facilities- practice area and bar.
After arriving and seeing the beautiful surroundings and perfectly manicured course I was full of anticipation. Unfortunately this was soon shattered when we were guided around the back of the clubhouse and out of site to a very poor second 9 hole course. The layout was terrible with no direction signs leading to several parties playing the wrong holes. There were no distance markers even though they were explained on the card? The greens were very punctured with a lot of sand. So all in all a very dissapointing experience.
After arriving and seeing the extremely beautiful surroundings and manicured course we were then guided around the back of the club house and away from all this to a very poor second. The nine hole edenderry course has no distance markers even thought they are explained on the card? The layout is terrible and there isn't even one next tee sign to help, leading to us playing the wrong holes along with other people doing the same and In general the greens were very punctured and sandy. Dissapointed to say the least .
