About
Situated just minutes from the Gold Coast beaches in the heart of Boca Raton, Southwinds Golf Course enjoys warm ocean breezes and lush vegetation. Water is a prominent presence throughout the course. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes. There are also mature trees throughout that will play a deciding role in shaping your shots. The golf course offers some enjoyably difficult holes but overall the challenges are manageable. Each hole is unique offering everything from opportunities to "grip it and rip it" and others that are defined by trees and lakes. The golf course finishes with one of its many water holes but on this par 4, you have to hit over water twice. In addition to the golf course, Southwinds also offers a driving range a putting green with a practice bunker.

Practice Round
For me the course plays short, but in great condition to practice any shot to hone your skills.
Aeration
Greens were impossible to get a good line n then putt with all the hole from aeration that was recently done . I play here quite often and love the course it offers me a challenge to my level of play . I will be back .
It was quite slow playing which made the heat of the day more difficult to deal with.
Bad Day at Southwinds
This course was so flooded only nine holes were barely open. Cartpath only and very crowded does not work! This course should have limited the number of players. We had to play the first nine twice and it was very very wet. The second time was waiting waiting waiting. We finally left after playing 13 holes.
I usually enjoy this course, it’s very pretty. I attribute this bad day to the fault of management. Anything for a buck!
Practice Round
I usually play longer courses, but this course is a little short, but very good course.
Great value for money
Played yesterday. The last time I was here was probably a year or less ago. I was surprised how great condition the course was in. Greens were fast and smooth. Fairways for the most part were is good condition. Most of the tee boxes were good, but not all. I enjoyed the round and plan to play again on Monday. Good job for making the course so good to play on
Nice course
First time playing so there’s water that can’t be seen from the tee so a little tricky.
Top notch greens Overall nice course
Par 70 is not the longest course, but still quite competitive. The greens are in GREAT SHAPE, FAST and true. The ranger patrols the course but unfortunately, the old group of 3 ahead of us was very slow

The layout is quirky. Right angle dog-leg on back nine is odd. 17 and 18 are on the wrong side of the clubhouse all by themselves.
Drop your clubs at the circle before you park.
Electric golf carts are great, include power jack for your phone or range finder but don't forget your lighting wire. Rakes in the back of each cart. Sand-mix buckets on both sides
raccoons and eguanas, plenty of cranes on the course
Always a decent experience.
This course is always in decent shape and the staff is friendly. The layout is quite basic but worth playing given the good conditions.
