Ex member advising new members
If you are thinking of joining this club with the intention of playing on a weekend think again. Members have lifetime permanent tee times on Saturday on both courses meaning you will not get a time until 4pm. If you want to play Sunday you will have to work around the ‘internal’ societies with block bookings meaning once again you are playing very late in the afternoon. Do you get a discount for the pleasure of not playing weekend golf....you must be joking! I have contacted every person involved in running this club and been hit with a stone wall, no changes will ever happen and that’s that. I am told that there is a waiting list going back 5 years for tee time changes whenever new times become available which gives you an idea of what it is like to be a new member. Having now got the response from the council that my issue was quickly glanced at before being pushed to the side is the final straw. Absolutely could not advise more strongly to not join this club.
Well maintained. Greens are unbelievable
The course today was fantastic. Considering the rain over the past few weeks the course was immaculate. Some tee boxes are under repair so temporary ones were in place, which is grand considering the season it is. The greens were absolutely superb. Cannot complement them enough. Great day of golf
Great course and fantastic value
Really enjoyed the round, great variety of holes with varying difficulty. A long walk around, perhaps best to have a trolly.
Dufferin course
After a previous wet closure day , the course was actually in very good condition with superb greens.
Love this Golf Club
The Dufferin course was outstanding although more players need to replace divets. The condition of the putting greens is beyond belief. The closure of the toilets because of Covid 19 I think is unnecessary and a problem for me having a medical problem. However I found the staff were as usual outstandng and very helpful to any problems players may have. Well done to them all.
Brilliant course at this time of year dry, hard when it’s windy.
First time playing the dufferin Course in great condition .greens superb unlike my scoring
Very good course in Excellent condition.
Best in Bangor area
Great course
Had a great round here after 3 days of rain, but the course held up really well. Hats of to the grounds men.
Also food in the clubhouse afterwards was very good.
Brilliant as ever
Stunning course. In brilliant condition tee to green and greens are in great shape. Course is immaculate considering the weather we've had. Well worth playing. One of the best courses in the country!
Disappointed
We booked as 3 ball to celebrate what would have been my dad's 64th birthday. But we didn't have a pleasurable experience. We were not told before going out that the main greens would not be in play today. The course had makeshift greens in place for all players. And they were diabolical! About 12feet wide on long fair way grass. We where disappointed because if we were told the real greens wernt playable then we would have gone else where and had some change left on the wallet.
I can see they want to protect the course on a cold day I get that but they should be telling players that before they go one. We played in until the 14th hoping that some real greens would be in play but after 14th we lost all hope and went home.
Great golf course
Considering the weather over the previous few days, the course was in great condition and we had a very enjoyable round of golf. For the middle of winter the greens were running smooth and true. Highly recommended.
Great golf course
Great course in fine condition even in the middle of winter.
Excellent Course
Has been a course I have always wanted to play and was not disappointed. Being a 14 handicapper it was a good challenge. Some par 4 are long but a fair challenge
Amazing course as always
Been playing this course for the past 10 years and it has improved so much! Amazing course, very well kept and some amazing holes and tricky greens.
dufferin
FOR THE 24TH OF DECEMBER THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE, FAIRWAYS NICE TO HIT OF AND GREENS VERY SLICK!!
GREEN KEEPERS CLEARLY KNOW WHAT THERE DOING! KEEP IT UP!!
Disgruntled ex member leaves scathing review full of inaccuracies.... I wonder why Clandeboye now has a waiting list for new members.... Might be because it's pretty good?
