Outstanding
One of the best courses I've played, great value for money . Highly recommended, already played it four times this year. If you don't enjoy golf here , get a new hobby
Ava
Really enjoyable. Played mid January. All greens open and in great condition. Really like the back 9.....front 9 was very testing with narrow fairways and not much room for error. Great test. Would happily go back
The Ava Course
Course was in great condition even after the amount of rain we have had in Northern ireland.
warm and friendly welcome by the staff and members.
The course fairways were very Dry greens were in excellent condition held the ball plus were still very fast even in Mid November.
Overall rating 5 star we had a great day out and will return again.
Thanks for having us at your great course.
Clandeboye Ava Course
This is a very good course but its tight and will punish loose shots, particularly off the tee. It is however a fun course to play and has a great variety of holes.
Great value at £16.
Keep your driver in the bag and take 3w or hybrid off the tee.
Its not an easy course to play first time because there are a number of blind shots but once you have played it once you will be back.
Great experience
Course was absolutely pristine, lovely setting! Well worth the money. Staff were friendly, got round the course in less than 4 hours which I'm always happy about! Would recommend this course to anyone!
a great course the Ava
I would rate this par 70 a good challenge for all golfers at first look you think you should get a lot of pars and birdie chances but if your not on your game an easy 4 can turn in to a 6 or worse the fast greens are great to play on. I would say the second hole par 5 is the hardest hole narrow fairway right up to the green with some out of bounds to the left
A beauty tucked away
Played Clandeboye recently at the request of a friend who is a member. Was not disappointed. Phenomenal layout which has a view of Scotland off the 1st tee box. An undulating course with very few flat lies. Greens roll very true and fair. Some blind shots and #15 is a bear to climb with a pull trolley. We caught it on a somewhat calm day. Imagine it could play quite long on a typical Irish day though. Straight forward track often visited by Rory for some practice I hear. His home is nearby. Very friendly staff and very nice clubhouse.
