Golf Advisor: Top 25 Most Improved U.S. Golf Courses
Worst ccoarse I have ever played
This is a 27 hole coarse, they shut down 18 holes for repairing and was told that we would be playing the north coarse twice. We got to the first tee and the tee box was all sand. Fairways were spotty and the greens were aireated just recently and sanded. The 9th hole was a temporary green cut out of the fairway which I refused to play and my group all agreed to quit playing. The staff was great I felt bad for them the coarse should have closed. No alert was on the web site and the biggest disappointment was I drove 30 miles just to leave after playing 8 miserable holes
North course in poor conditions
North course is in very poor condition, needs lots of TLC. Sad to see this golf course deteriorated over the years.
work in progress
They warned me before I started that only the North course was open, but also under construction. Fair enough, better than going to a driving range, but it had nothing to do with golf. I still had a good time and will be back when they finished with what they are doing.
Should have been informed
Although the course stated that only 9 holes was open, the 9 holes was very shabby. Fairways and aprons around greens was being killed off. I found out after that the course being closed the next day for 2weeks
so disappointed on course condition - plus we were told only the north course was open !??
We were told this was stated on the golf now site - I'm sitting here looking at both of my paper print outs and see NOTHING that states this.
here is another DNR for the list
Spanish Wells? No, Spanish Hells
This was an absolute joke of a course. It was the worst golf course I have ever visited in Florida. The conditions were awful. There was no guidance as to what to expect, or where to play (in regards to which of the 9-hole courses).
I've visited 27-hole golf courses before, and, as a general rule, one nine is usually closed for repair or maintenance. This course had two 9-hole courses closed, which was a bit on the disturbing side, considering how poor of a shape the OPEN 9-hole course was in; what's the level of maintenance being conducted.
I'm normally a very passive, accepting individual, but this was such a disappointing experience I couldn't help but be on the disgruntled side.
Beginning of Rainy Season
Course was deserted due to impending weather conditions.
Played with three very nice gentlemen . Big Bob , Little Bob and Tom.
Fairways are good , some tees are pretty rough . greens in excellent shape.
Got rain check for second nine after playing North course.
Thunder and lightning started before we could start South course.
Very nice course
None of us are scratch or low handicap golfers. We had a wonderful time. The course was in good shape. Greens were perfect and the staff was friendly and helpful. Afterwords the bartender/server was extra friendly and topped off our fun day.
