Course plays well and is well laid out.
This was a course none of us(4) had played before. Each of us selected a course based upon reputation, playing conditions, and level of difficulty. This course was my choice.
The Sabol course far exceeded our expectations. It was/is well maintained and in great condition. We played a morning round on a day that was warm and sunny with limited cloudiness. We all have a handicap around 16 so we knew or expected our scores would be slighty higher than the norm because of our unfamiliarity. Sand traps, water barriers, sloping greens and length were as the courses' reputation. The greens, although very well maintained, were very fast. We likened it to putting on a marble floor or a sheet of glass. This aspect made the round go a little longer (timewise). It also increased our frustration in keeping the ball on the green and keeping our scores down, as well. We played three other courses in the Ft. Myers area during our week here. We felt that the greens, although very difficult, were not realisitic to regular play for any level of player.
We, however, still felt that this course was rated to at least a 4.6 out of 5 rating. We would definitely play this course again.
Great course...Great value
The day started with a friendly staff getting us fed, on on the course and with good instructions. The course was outstanding both in layout and condition. We rarely saw other golfers and finishe in less than 4 1/2 hours. An enjoyable expirence.
Course has great features
Course was beautiful and challenging; however, we did not appreicate the starter telling us to speed up after 9 holes when we were keeping up with the group in front of us. He even said he'd make us skip a hole if we didn't speed up. Were we to hit into that group? We thought it was extremely rude and officious of him--a poor representation of the course.
Prettiest course in SW Florida.
My friends and I have played at over 20 courses in the greater Naples area and we all consider this the most enjoyable to play. It is not killer difficult but a real challenge for the average golfer. The big deal is the beauty of the course. No houses and some holes that are cut out of the woods in a way that you cannot see the next hole anywhere from the one that you are playing. Lots of wildlife also such as wild turkeys, alligators, and hawks.
Very Nice Course
First time playing here... Course was in excellant shape.. Greens were great and really fast.. Generous fairways that lead to fast sloping greens and oh yes there is sand everywhere..
Fair test for all golfers and enough bite from the back tees to make it a good test for better golfers. I will definitely be back to play it again..
Good track for the average to above average golfer.
The course is very well maintained and has an interesting layout. Several set of tees make it easy to match your handicap to the ciurse. Well worth the money.
Both courses' fairways and greens in excellent condition.
Great deal since Cypress and Sabal courses are normally private. Returns to private end of March 2013 so take advantage now. My wife and I found it marginally difficult and pace of play was good.
Super fast greens!
Great staff, beautiful practice facilities. Course is fairly open from the tee but there is a lot of strategy involved in approaching the right tiers of the very fast greens (running at about 12 the day we played).
Wide open, with large, very fast greens
Very wide landing areas; you have to hit it sideways to miss the fairways. Very fast greens; may take some getting used to.
Excellent condition.
Good course for your first round of the season.
P.S. Saw wild turkeys, and two small deer that came right up to roving bar cart looking for apples.
Friendly but challenging enough to be interesting
A good course to get the rust out of your swing. Generous fairways, not too much water to carry but off the Dark Green Tees still some challenging par 4s. Greens slick and position key on a couple of holes so a second round might pay dividends once you know where you're going.
Pace at just 4 hours was fine and if anything felt a bit quick for a leisurely, holiday game. Starter and staff all very pleasant and welcoming. Cart girl only accepts MasterCard or Visa!
The course a little above average. The greens very good a little to sandy. The staff in the pro shop needs to be trained on how to treat guest.

Wonderful golf course
I love this course. The fairways are generous and the greens tough and fast.
Wildlife abounds and you will see it everywhere on the course. Too bad that after march these courses may no longer be available to the public. Play them now while you still can!
Looking forward to playing again.
Awesome course with true, fast greens. Attention to detail in every area.
The greens are like putting on glass! Beware, for those of the heavy handed flat stick.
I loved the course and its consistency from year to year and hole to hole. This is my second time at the facility where I normally golf over Christmas time. The greens are smallish and require precision. Fairways are largish and relatively easy to hit. Definetly will return if given the chance to make a tee time there again. Layout has variety and should suite those who putt and chip well.
excellent track, one friendly pro shop staff member, rest ive learned is typical naples attitude doing you a big favour,,,,,,
allowing me to play their course, these courses should realise if not for golfnow we would never think of going to them.
Overall very good to excellent
Would recommend courses to other people. Very well maintained, like that no homes are on courses and there is abundant wild life.greens in my opinion are quite difficult hard to read.
Cypress course
Pristine course and amenities. Played the Cypress course and it was a challenge. No homes on the course. I believe it is an Autobaun society for wildlife refuge.
A wonderful course with no houses and wildlife - tough but fair, with superb greens.
My favourite course in Naples; where else can you tee off with a herd of deer watching you? The golf course is demanding, in great condition with near perfect greens. A joy to play!
This is an excellent, challenging course
We only visit this area once a year and this is the first course that we play. It is a beautiful challenging course and is a must for anyone looking for quality play. The staff was very accommodating and super friendly. We love this course and you will too!
One of the best in Naples
Don't miss playing here. Conditions were outstanding. Greens were very fast and quite undulating. Fairways are somewhat wide with sand throughout. There is no disappointment in playing here
