Great day
For a Friday lunch tee time, pace of play was great. We really enjoyed the day.
Friendly staff
Greens were not the best . Toilets could do with a good clean by the time we come around to the toilets again they were blocked up .
Rough greens and slow groups
Sadly the greens were just cored and sanded so was a little disappointed. It has to be done but would have been nice to know beforehand.
Pace of play was very slow with a couple of groups of 2 holding up play and making it very slow.
Maybe a bit more rigour from the pro shop to keep the groups together at the start of the round might help this as these two were a foursome that split on the first tee so they could both do their own thing.
We will be back again once the greens have had time to recover.
Just some feedback to keep the field rolling along at a decent pace.
Great bones to be a good course, but it was in very very rough shape. Tee boxes barely had any grass and the greens were probably running at a 2. Went inside for a sandwich at the clubhouse and was harassed by the members which was deemed acceptable by the staff. When I did order the sandwich the staff acted as if it was the end of the world that they had to do work.
Will not play here again and I recommend you don’t either
THIRSTY
No drink or food cart around the course. No water fountains or water to drink on the course. DISGRACE
Great value rounds with friendly members
Thoroughly enjoyed my round at Gainborough. Great course layout with improvements on the go. More water than expected, and some extremely tough bunkers. The fairways were in good condition and the greens were well-kept, if not a little bit slow. I joined 3 members who were a very friendly group. looking forward to my next round here.
Great course and excellent value for money
Gainsborough Greens is a moderately difficult course in a convenient location between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. The course was in good condition when we played, one green was out of action and bunkers were a little inconsistent. The group in front of us were a bit slow but it was still an enjoyable game, this course is much more forgiving than some of the other courses on the Gold Coast and is excellent value for money.
