Still not too cold to play
Becoming my go-to course when I can find discounted rates. Wish it was not carts on path only for winter rules. However, as long as it's not windy or rainy, just wear a few layers of clothing and it's still a fun round of golf.
Good but wait....
I like this course. All bunkers are GUR which is like whatever, but the greens were in GREAT shape and rolling about a 10. Some of the slopes on the green are almost unfair at this speed but really nice to putt on. The thing is, they are adding about 10,000 houses (rough estimate) and they have made 10 and 18 harder in doing so.
They took out the left sideboard off the fairway of 10 which has saved my bacon many times, and then they cut out about 1/4 of the fairway on 18! They have made a place for a HUGE retaining pond to the right of the landing area on 18 which makes an already tight tee shot CRAZY small. Forget 2 shot par 5, the prudent play is now a 190y shot then a layup. What a bummer.
I honestly think they should make 10 a par 3 and 18 a par 4 and reduce the course to a par 70.
Anyway, nice little track with really awesome greens right now.
The fairways are horrendous and the bunkers are unplayable. Not at all worth the money in this current condition
Needs Help.
This course is such a fun layout but needs so much help I don’t know where to start. The bunkers have not had sand in years. Some holes barely have grass, mostly just craters and mud. The greens are actually okay because they were redone a couple years ago. Now that they are clearing the woods for development it’s also loosing its charm of playing without any homes.
PLEASE HELP THIS GOLF CLUB!!!!!!
I like playing here
Always seem to be grouped up with friendly players on course when I signup as a single. 'Cart path only' rule in effect this time which was a first from my experience. Not a fan of that. Other than that, an enjoyable round.
Falls Village
Course was in good shape for late fall. Good value .
Great value for the money,
Nice course to play for a high handicapper or anyone looking for an enjoyable round.
Excellent (nearly perfect) greens. Sand traps need renovation. One of the best layouts in the triangle.
Greens are pure
Greens were fast and true. Never seen them better. About time to upgrade golf carts though.
Great experience!!
My overall experience was really good! The staff was super friendly and the course itself wasn't extremely hard. The only bad thing that I would have to say is that, there is major construction taking place on the property, so the club should take that into consideration when charging patrons. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this course!!
Good design & greens
Course not kept up well no sand in bunkers, ponds are filled with algae, fairways rough, tees not mowed. Challenging design and good greens. No food available. Course is struggling to make it
Course conditions were wet and I don’t like cart path only but pace was good. I like course layout
Needs ownership to spend money
Love the layout of the course. The new greens are coming in nicely. The bunkers, tee boxes, and fairways need some work. The bunkers need to be redone totally. I saw they are putting a new housing development maybe they will put money into the course after that’s done.
Read War and Peace while waiting to hit shots
5 groups stacked up on the first tee and one group hit 10 tee balls none over 100 yards or in the fairway and never let anyone play thru the entire round. I don't know if they ever warmed up but it was slow. I asked the starter about the marshal while still on the tee box he said we had one but we never saw one. We can't wait for the bunker's to get fixed.
Good value
People are overly critical about the bunkers, they tell you at the pro shop it’s ground under repair, take it and move on! Pace of play was great at a 7:45 tee time, 18 holes in 3.5 hrs…. BLISS!
For 47$, I’ll be back!
