Hidden Cypress Golf Club

Just in order to save anyone time looking into playing this course they are not currently open to the public due to COVID.

It’s the only course in the area that I have found doing this still.

Course in very good condition despite recent rains. Six set of tee boxes, one for everyone. Contrary to one reviewer above, there is water on 16 of the holes, though not always seriously in play. Houses line the fairways though they are not intrusive. Undulating fairways very attractive.

I played the course on a beautiful November day (60's and sunny). I played with 3 nice locals, although 2 stopped after 9 holes. We played the White tees (due to our age) and found the course enjoyable and not too hard. The greeens, however, were fast (good), but there were many unrepaired ball and spike marks, if you call them that in today's spikeless environment. Many people must drag their feet! Conditions were great other than that, and I enjoyed the course and neighborhood of Sun City Hilton Head. Restaurant smelled great, although I did not eat there. I would play there again any time.

Pleasant course. Greens took some getting used to. Wish the starter told us that the only water on the course was at the restrooms. Bunkers were a bit “firm”. Liked the various options to play different course lengths. Would definitely play again.

First time playing here and found this to be a great track. The Staff was extremely friendly and helpful., and the course itself was in excellent shape.
I can’t wait to make another visit...

EXCELLENT condition, fairways were like carpets, greens keep you honest. Just a great course to play!

Walked on this morning. Staff where able to squeeze me in with a threesome. I rented clubs. Entire staff was welcoming as well as helpful upon checking in. Being new to the course and the property I was treated like a VIP. Course was in great condition. Very challenging! Each tee box gave you a different look on how to play each hole. Definitely a shot makers course, but easy to get around for a new player. Didn't find a lot of trouble thanks to my playing partners who are members. Otherwise I could be singing a different tune. Lotsof bunkers!!! Thanks to every one for making this a FUN day!!! I'll be Back!!!

I love this course great layout in really good shape and a good value. Front nine gets used a lot more than back nine since most locals only play nine so it has some issues on greens. The back nine was near perfect, tee boxes where nice and lush, greens where in great shape fairways are well maintained as well. #17 is one of the best par three's I have ever played with water fall as you come up to it and the babbling creek running down t from tee box. As long as they offer tee times on GolfNow I will play at least once a month. They are renovating the restaurant but bar/grill is still open.

Joined a wonderful couple for the front nine. Course was in great shape, with consistent greens and well manicured holes. A slight rain delay at the turn forced my companions to leave, but while I waited, the inside staff partnered me with another group to complete the round. A caring staff and welcoming people made for great day.

Played here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Course was in great condition and the greens were very receptive. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Online rates are competitive with other courses in area.

Course is as good as any other course I have played in the Savannah Hilton head area. Good from tee to green. Tee boxes seem to struggle at a lot of courses but not this one they were all lush and plenty to chose from. Fairways were in great shape and a nice mix of wide and narrow with some well placed bunkers that make you think about were you want to land your drive and what club to use. Greens rolled very well and had some subtle breaks but nothing to severe. Staff was friendly although not all understand how the GolfNow program works but I think it has only been used in the last week or so. The twosome I was pared with both said the other Sun city courses where in as good a shape as Hidden Cypress. If you decide to play keep in mind GolfNow map it sends you to Okatie course, just follow signs at will take you to the far end on Sun City, one right turn and you are there.

Clubhouse staff unsure of how to handle GolfNow reservation. Did nothing of a welcoming nature. The outside staff and starter were very friendly and helpful.

The course is a wonderful challenge for the average golfer. Beautiful layout with lots of fairway bunkers.

Would definitely play again.

Great layout-Pace would have been faster but cart path only was in place because of recent rains. Beautiful area, well landscaped, long paths between holes through marsh areas with wooden bridges--Very attractive. Course is demanding but well setup with tees for all levels. Nice variety of hole layouts and challenges.

This course is just as much fun to play as any course on Hilton head. 17 is beautiful
