Nice little course
Par 61. ( 30-31). Played in 3 hours. Enough water to make you hit it straight. A fair test of golf, good greens and great to sharpen up your short game. I will take my golf newbie wife next time.
fun
If you are a beginner like me this course is a good place to start. Greens were in good shape. Fairways so so. Overall a good value.
Nice Executive course
This is a great course for all types of golfers. There is some long drives with water hazards and short holes for accuracy. Just and overall fun course.
The green were prety rough
This is an executive course. The fairways were in good shape and the layout was nice but the greens were very rough and missing a lot of grass. Since I only paid $7 plus tax to play and ride 18 holes it was well worth the money but I had expected better greens this time of year.
Best short course in the area.
One thing makes this the best short course in the area...The greens are like a championship course. They are large and undulating and fast enough. They must have a greenskeeper that knows what he/she is doing.
Nice Day at Golf
My wife and i played and had a wonderful time. The greens were a nice challenge. Thete were slopes and mounds and sand traps that made the game quite interesting. There were long holes and short holes and plenty of water. The greens were kept nice. The Tee Boxes need work with grass. The cart path took some guess work since it was not paved, but that is okay. I will know my way around next time and thete WILL BE A NEXT TIME. I had Fun.
JW
Excellent greens. Great value. The tees could be improved. It is quite short.
Excellent Greens, Short Game Opportunity
My GF has just started playing and I was looking to work on my short game so I looked for an executive course and was happy to have found Pinebrook/Ironwood.
The greens are fantastic, though small, Really requires accurate approaches. The fairways were decent. Several of the par 4's are driveable so you can have fun shooting for eagles or lay back to work on your short irons.
Great value, friendly staff.
I will be back.
pinebrook
Greens were nice but not speedy. Severe slopes on about 6 greens with very difficult up and downs with pins next to fall offs. Good course to work on short game.
Great Executive Course
This is Fun Course to Play. It is Challenging, but very Fun. The Greens are excellent. Have gone back several times. Love Golf Now.
Good place to start season
This is not the place for long hitters, you need accuracy to avoid water hazards. Backnine took forever - slow players.
Great challenging greens
The greens on this course are amazing and extremely challenging! Our friends played this course with us and he is a golf course par 72 golfer. he couldn't believe how difficult the greens were. It is short but extremely challenging! Best greens so far this year!
Excellent executive course
As an executive course in the city this course is very appealing. The greens were excellent - among the best we have played of any level course! Fairways and " rough" were a bit sketchy (dry, patchy) but expected. Some well placed water hazards (one ditch was not marked on the course layout just before the green! )and sand traps (a bit too shallow sand in some) protecting the greens. Pin placements were reasonable with a few "sucker positions" to make you think. Par 4s could use 3 wood and hybrids and for par 3s mainly PW - 8. Driver used four times (190 - 200 yds). A really nice relaxing experience for two couples on a beautiful day.
Worth Trying more than once
This course has some long par 3's and plenty of water. The undulating greens give one reason to caution the three putt.
The greens were in good shape.
Very Slow Play
Course as packed. It took our foursome almost 5 hours to complete the 18 holes. We actually had to wait on every hole. On a number of holes it was backed up by three or four foursomes. We normally play this course in about 3 1/2 hours.
Cart to be back too early to clubhouse 6 pm
Course was good, but tee time was 3:22pm and carts had to be back at clubhouse by 6 pm....we only played 12 holes due to this situation of cart return..not full 18 hole play.
Not prime, but you get what you pay for
The greens are well maintained, and very challenging - fairways, not so much. It has the look and feel of an aging and well-used course.
The course was packed (it was a Friday afternoon) and the pin placements were much too difficult for the number of golfers on the course. It makes no sense to put the pin at the edge of a steep slope when the average golfer will end up with a 4-putt and hold up the group behind.
The staff, and especially the starter, were all pleasant, courteous, and accommodating.
enjoyable
good my wife really enjoyed it great length for her
she found over all the par three fun for her
the length of the course is more for seniors and beginners
most of the water problems are on the right side on the farways
