nice clubhouse
No scorecards. The holes are not well marked. Just hotdogs for lunch and were sold out by 2:00. Not a nice enough course for the money at all. The staff were very friendly and there were lots of specials but too expensive for the conditions
Tough shape
Grass in fairways were far too long and previously cut grass was laying everywhere. The greens were in terrible shape.
Some of the holes are tight if you are a sparer with houses on both the left and right. We played it last year and it was in much better shape.
Great Course for the price
Longest course I've ever played. Would have been a bit much to walk. Would definately play again.
The nicest thing about this course is the painted palm trees on cart path.
Not sure if they know what cutting the grass on a regular basis is it was so long everywhere and when they do cut it they need a hay bailer to pick up grass clippings, the freshly cut clippings and the brown left over clippings that looked like ---- well you know what I mean. Over watered, sparse grass on greens, very slow 4some ahead of us, would not let us through, dangerous road crossing to get to other holes.
Course being reseeded and CART PATH ONLY
If you needed a challenge for a great price, now is the time to do it. The course is being reseeded and it has some unbeleivable thick rough great for practice in the heavy stuff which apparently I need work on. Very fun. You get to play two different greens on the same nine holes. This allows for you to get that second chance after whiffing it the first time. Great staff and adult beverage prices.
Over all bad
Unfortunately course was in bad shape because they were preparing for reseeding. Had I known ahead of time I would not have wasted my money to play.
Interesting
I wasnt sure how well the concept worked but the two greens thing was actually pretty fun although on a couple holes I put it within 10ft of the hole only to have my wife walk to the adjoining green and wonder why I was shooting at the wrong green...lots of dirt here and be careful crossing the 2 lane road otherwise I might be back in a pinch.
Great 9 hole course with 18 greens
Course is in great shape. Staff was exceptional and friendly. This course has only 9 holes that you play 2x with different greens for the second 9. The course is more challenging than it looks. The biggest draw back on the course is the fact that you need to cross a double lane highway 4 times in a round. During rush hour this could be a problem. However between staff in the club house to the grounds keepers we had a great experience.
great value
great valure for the money, the marshall was very friendly. the fairways were in great shape and the course was challenging but fun for a high handicap golfer
Not so great
Its a long drive out there. When we got there they were very controlling, almost rude, about getting a cart and starting. Course needs clean up.
unique
Course was fine with only a little casual water as compared to other times played. Will always dislike crossing the highway to play some of the holes.
the course is overbooked
booked on golf now quoted 32.00 per person was charged 39.50 per person they said the cart was not included in the price but was not stated on golf now that price did not include cart. The course was over booked our tee time was 2pm we had 4 groups in front of us at tee time and were only able to golf 9 holes in 4 hours. Will not use golf now again...!!!
A great course
We really enjoyed the long holes, really got to practice our long shots. A really nice course but quite a drive from Mesa. I also didn't realize how long of a walk it would be, it took us the better part of 5 hours to walk 18.
No driving range,
No driving range to warm up with, you only get to hit into a net. You have to enter the highway and some times cross it in your golf cart.
Great value ($20/ 18 holes with cart) but very different
Course is 9 holes with 2 sets of greens on each hole. Play the yellow flag on first round and blue green on back 9. Have to cross Hunt Hwy 3 times. this is a major hwy and is extremely dangerous to cross. No lights, no crosswalk, just take your chances and go quick. Somebody is going to get hurt!
fareways and greens were in good shape
Oasis Golf Course is a 9 hole course with two greens per hole, so you play course twice to play 18 holes. The first time I played Oasis, I wasn't aware of the playing format and having to cross Hunt Hwy on golf cart, but it was still a good experience. This week when I played I enjoyed the course. It has wide farways, which are good for beginners or seasoned players. Good variety of hole elavations and water features. I will return to play Oasis.
Bang for buck
Used GolfNow to book at extremely good rate. Impressed. Played a course in Casa Grande day before, drove an hour and paid much more for far less. Played Oasis last year and found it mediocre. Much improved. Tee boxes, greens and fairways in great shape. Played course at 6600 yds and a stern test. Greens were actually fast and true. Biggest drawback is crossing Hunt Hwy in cart. Once that's done, it's really quite the bargain. Threesome in front actually let us play through so we finished in under 4 hours. Enjoyable day.
A unique layout and a fun experience.
The "two greens per fairway" layout works well, and multiple tees allow golfers of all levels to enjoy the course. They need to put a tunnel under the highway, as it is a dangerous crossing between holes 2 and 3. The distance from green to the next tee is above average, and increases the walking distance. However the course is fairly flat.
Course is in great shape
I've played this course many times over the past 10 years. I have never seen it in as good condition previously. My only complaint is the apron around the greens tends to be a little soggy. I have played several times this fall and pace of play has been good each time. All staff seem to be on their toes.
