Fun Track
Course conditions were a little rough given the winter Georgia had. But expect them to improve over the coming weeks. Fun course with water coming into play on several holes. Local knowledge is helpful on a number of holes. Think the course is a little overpriced but if you can get a hot deal, is worth the play
Very Nice Course
Great course and challenging layout. Recent rain made fairways pretty wet, but that can’t be helped. Greens ran fast, but true. A good test of golf!
Ok
The greens were not good just been sanded! There were several different courses the price was much higher than what I usually play and the course was not much nicer!
Classic Course
Each hole was framed beautifully enjoyed the overall layout. No blind shots. If you play conservatively you have excellent opportunities to score. Aggressive play requires length off the tee to cut around the doglegs and well maintained bunkers. Definitely worth the commute from the ATL. Looking forward to our return.
Course conditions
The course was recently aeriated, and I had no knowledge of it.
One of my favorite courses
The course was in great shape despite being Carr path only fast greens bunkers were in great shape even though it rained heavily the day before
Nice place
Course was very nice. Very confusing at times trying to get around. Needs better and more sons on were you are going.
A jerk in the proshop
Don't forget to rake after bunker shots. A jerk in the proshop will be watching you and you will get yelled at. The staff is very rude to non members (from Golfnow).
Not a fun experience at all.
best greens in 50 miles
Great practice area
27 holes
Frendly staff
The best greens within 50 miles
GREENS MISSED THE MARK
The course, layout, fairways, bunkers, carts, staff, pro shop, and restaurant were all absolutely brilliant. What missed the mark for us was the tremendous amount of damage on the greens from players not repairing their divots or doing it incorrectly. A little care or reminder to golfers of the importance of repairing your divot marks and doing it correctly would have kept these greens in perfect condition and topped off play to “the tee”. This wouldn’t stop me from returning but sure would complete the round with an improved experience.
Excellent golf course and will play again
It was my first time playing in the golf course. It's bit far from where I live but it was worthy. The course was in a good condition and staffs were very friendly.
As other mentioned, there were so many unfixed ball marks and also many improperly fixed ones. These significantly diminish the appearance of the greens. It is shame that people don't fix their ball marks in such a great golf course. This is a common problem in any public golf courses. Actually all carts have a GPS device installed and it displays how to fix ball marks. Players! Please fix your ball marks.
I will definately play again in the course.
Nice course
This golf course is really nice the layout excellent it is one of the best course I have play this year.
Greens need repair
The course from t box to your approach shots were excellent... However, it appears as though no one that plays here owns a ball mark tool.... Myself and the others in my group fixed not only our ball marks but numerous others on the majority of the greens. Multiple old marks as well as fresh ball marks...If this issue were to be resolved I would love to play this course again... As it is currently, I would not feel good about recommending it....
Good Course
The course was great. Pace of play was absolutely awful. There were two groups of five people playing in front of us. Took 20 minutes to play each hole. Fortunately, that lasted only 9 holes. We played the next 9 in 1:20. Restaurant and snack bar are not open Monday. Pack a sandwich or make sure to eat before you go. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the day but the groups of five were bad. Didn't consider letting a twosome play thru.
Great Course
Sunday morning 8:40 time, very little play. Pace was outstanding (twosome finished under 3 hrs)
Great conditions on the tees and fairways. Greens were rolling nicely, only complaint is it appears there are many unrepaired ballmarks (certainly not the fault of course mgmt.)
Will definitely be back!
Course Well Maintained and in Great Shape
Course in great shape! A 27 hole course each nine with a name; Red, Silver &-Black. A very nice golf track. You start out on Black and finish on Silver. Some of the Black and Silver holes(with the same #) are very close together and one has to pay really close attention to the cart path signage which has small letters and arrows or pay close attention to the cart GPS. I would recommend the Course Starter spend a little extra time with newcomers and explain the crossover from Black to Silver. Overall, a great golfing experience.
Excellent Course
I had the pleasure of playing The Georgia Club for the first time on 8-6-17 with a friend of mine. From arriving at the Club through the Back 9 of the courses, we received top notch service. Once we checked in there were a few members that gave us advice on keeping the ball in the Fairway. The long grass will definitely make it a challenge to find your ball if you got outside of the fairway. You'll definitely have to make sure your Tee shots are online and in play in the fairway. I enjoyed the fact that the courses were all split up with 9 holes each to keep the pace of play rather efficiently. There were a few times when the group behind us caught up rather quickly, but this was due to a group playing a little slower in front of us. I definitely recommend that you play the course and make sure you keep the ball in the short grass.
One area that I would highly recommend The Georgia Club look into, is adding an additional Beverage/Food cart to the course. It did take a considerable amount of time to find a cart that we could purchase some beverages. Overall I definitely recommend playing The Georgia Club. I will return to this course very soon. Hope this review helps someone if you are hesitant on playing the course(s).
