The Georgia Club - Chancellors Red/Black Course

Curb side service, cart people, starter and course service all worked hard to meet your needs. Course was in early winter shape (played in late Nov.), but was in great shape for time of year. Greens very fast and true.

Drove out to Athens from Atlanta on Saturday morning. First time playing Georgia Club.

Really pleased with the whole experience. Nice clubhouse. Grass range for practice. Course was cart path-only, and there were some soggy spots on the course, but that's understandable given the fall weather. But it didn't diminish the experience. Greens were great, bunkers great. Best part of the course is the design: most every hole is sited well: lovely, risk/reward shots. Rough is fair. No gimmicky holes.

Loved playing here and would love to return.

Love this course one of my favorites in the state. Played yesterday in the rainy wet conditions and the course was still in great shape. This is the time of year for bent grass greens. The greens were firm and still quick despite being wet. This course is a Must play

One of the best courses you can play near Atlanta. It has a great layout and is well cared for. I love the scale and proportion of this course.

The Georgia club very beautiful and will kept course very challenging enjoyed the day will be playing it again

We played on 9/22/15 an overcast day, the pace of play was slow, about 5 hours.
The course was in nice shape with the greens being in ok shape but receptive.
This is definitely a course where a 3 wood is favored over the driver, it is a thinking course as well.
Our foursome enjoyed the round and will play here again.

Beautiful course fair setup challenges you but allows for every club to be used. Shot shaping is a must.you will not be disappointed. Go Georgia Bulldogs.

Course was great play for the day. The greens are starting to speed up as most bent grass are better in fall and spring. Course offers a lot of risk reward type holes. Played from 6500 which was more than long enough, though you really need to pop it if you go to the tips. I say if you get the chance this is a great facilities

First time at this course and it was great! Fairways were perfect, rough was somewhat challenging. For the 2nd week in September, the greens were in very good shape.
Staff was super friendly, my foursome played 18 in 4 hours. Great pace of play.

Country club feel. Course in great shape, except for recently aerated greens, which were also hairy. Wiould love to play again though. Great value through GilfNow.

The greens were aerated in late August, but they are already putting nicely. The course is in very good condition. The rough is thick and challenging, even though is looks pretty short.

Greens were recently aerated which made the speeds and conditions a little inconsistent, but otherwise a very quality course. 27 holes becomes a little confusing but as long as you follow the signs and map, you will be fine

Greens had been punched the day before and there was no notice of it on golfnow but a lot of fun to play and range was great. Nice gated community with great food and club house. Particularly nice were the sand traps which had soft white sand and nicely maintained. Most greens and some fairways well bunkered

REALLY nice golf course and layout. This place has 27 holes and we played red to black. Course was in fantastic shape and the pro shop and restaurant staff were very friendly. The only negative I have with the course was the greens... it is an ABSOLUTE shame that the folks who play this semi-private course don't seem to know how or flat don't even try to repair ball marks... the greens looked like a mine field of unrepaired and improperly repaired CRATERS.. if not for this they would have the best greens in 50 miles. Given that they still putted well and rolled true if your line avoided the pot marks. Fairways are in perfect shape. Even with the green issues I would definitely recommend playing this course especially if you nail a deal like we got on Golf Now for $34.. take the time to play this course it is well worth it

This course is the best deal on Golfnow in Northeast Georgia. I'm not gonna go into a drawn out review. Just play it!

I enjoyed it and got a great deal from GolfNow. Otherwise the cost is a little steep.

Tee boxes are in great condition, which seems to be an issue at many of the Atlanta area courses. Fairways were great and generous with some challenging rough, but not unfair. Greens were fast and uniform, with the exception of the poorly repaired or completely un-repaired ball marks. Don't know if it is the members, or public players, but there were too many to try to fix and they were affecting putts.
Overall, I am very glad I played and was treated excellent by the staff.

Will definitely play there again.

From fairways to greens to bunkers, everything was in very good shape. Staff was good with the exception of the mower crew who were not courteous and stop cutting when we were hitting shots.

Overall I was very impressed. The staff was warm and inviting as well as many of the members. Cart staff was fantastic and the course was wonderful. Championship golf done right.

Wow, from tee to green this course is outstanding! Yes its $70.00 for a round on the weekends but if you love golf this course delivers!! Great staff as well! Can't wait to go back!!
