Majestic Oaks at Lake Lawn Resort
About
Lake Lawn Resort spans across two miles of shoreline along Delavan Lake. The resort was founded in 1878, making it one of Wisconsin's oldest leisure destinations. Its proximity to both Chicago and Milwaukee has made it very popular. The championship golf course was not added until 1921, but it is still one of the area's oldest. It has a traditional layout that was revamped in 1990 but the original character was carefully preserved. The course is known for the stately oaks that are abundant throughout the course. The mature trees frame the holes and demand accuracy as well as creative shot-making. There are also deep sand bunkers strategically placed along Lake Lawn Resort's greensides. The greens themselves are quite tricky and varied too. Some have subtle but tough undulations while others are multi-tiered.

Last Day Ouo
We played in mid november and the course looked great but about 20 mph wind with gusts over 30mph. But we found a hot deal for $20 which is about a third of normal price so it was well worth it. Easy check in and friendly bar service made it a pleasure. Well worth a try . Greens are very challenging. Our foursome played in a little over 3 1/2 hrs.
First timer
It was my first time playing at Majestic Oaks at Lake lawn. The promptness of carts and readiness of the staff was above par. Course layout was a little confusing, but with them having signs up directing you to the next hole was helpful. Scenic views of the lake were exceptional during the fall color change. The greens were fast and the fairways were well maintained. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy this course during the spring and summer seasons.
Golfing on my Birthday
Had a great round of golf on my birthday. The course was in excellent shape for the end of the season. The greens and fairways were free of leaves and the staff in the clubhouse and the bar/food area were efficient and friendly.
Great place to enjoy your favorite game!
As always, the staff was extremely friendly and professional. A big shout out to Bob & Joe. The course was in great condition for this time of the year and the pace of play was fine. I have always enjoyed the course and would definitely encourage those who have not played there to give it a shot. I am certain you will not be disappointed.
Never enough
We come to lake
Lawn every few months as a getaway
My wife enjoys the water and great rooms and i love this course
Hate to see winter coming as i will need to wait for spring for golf
Always a fair challenge
More Tee Boxes Needed
The layout was recently reconfigured to now play the outer 9 then finish on the inner 9, much like a Scottish links course. The change causes a bit of confusion as a few cart paths go from asphalt to gravel, routing you through the new configuration. In fact, one tee box is used for 2 different fairways.
Speaking of tee boxes, there are only 3, which is why I rated the course as Extremely Challenging. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT - five tee boxes would make rounds more enjoyable for those of the shorter drive persuasion by giving them the chance at reaching a 400+ par 4 or 500+ par 5 in regulation.
Currently the course plays a little slow - slow fairways and slow greens.
While I do recommend this course to others it is with the caveat that you'll need to stripe them long to achieve anywhere near par.
Enjoyed the course
Nice course conditions. Play was slow. Pretty much “wide open” no worries about losing a ball if not hitting it straight. Thought it seemed a little “pricey”. Had a good time.
Golf lover
We really enjoy playing this course. The fairways are beautiful to play from. The greens require positioning approaches as there are many with multiple levels. I would prefer if they were a little faster.
There are some changes in progress so some alternate tees are used.
Course in progress
Although there are changes in progress, the course is in good condition and the pace of play was good.
