Lost quality during past two years
On the parking lot I saw just a few cars, which surprised me. I've expected alot more like two, three, five years ago.
The guy - in the mid thirties - where I checked in wasnot friendly at all. He hardly looked at me, just did his job.
The club house, bar, restooms and proshop where in e weak condition.
The senior who was the starter, however, was very friendly and helpful!
The green were in good condition, the fairways were dry, even though the have a lot of water.
As I knew from playing years before, you can't see and estimate water before you have arrived. So you might have a good stroke, but will end up in water....surprise!
The sketches the tee bixes don't show water properly in many cases.
After we've finshed (we were a twosome) at 3:58 pm, we wanted to have a drink at the bar an offical told us: "The bar has just losed" and it was ahot day...
In summary, the whole golf club has substantially gotten worse during the past two years. At a lot of areas I got the impression, they've run out of money and can't fix it.
I hate to say that this formerly nice club has to change a lot and turn the sad tendency around. Good look!
Late SnowBird Golf
I have played Cape Royal many times but not for over a year. The improvements were excellent, we played Prince front and King back.
Greens were faster than I remember. Cups were not fresh, but I am sure they had a ton of traffic. Playing two tournaments there coming up so I wanted a tune up.
Cape Royal
A little tough for high handicappers as houses and water on almost every hole.
Conditions were good!
Cape Royal golf!
Very tight course with a ton of water which is not always in view. Most holes are also lined up with houses. Had a high handicapper playing and houses were in play too many times!
Expensive
Queen course needs work, especially tee boxes & some greens. I realize it’s prime season but there are better courses in the area for significantly less money.
Fun course
Fun layout and greens, fairways, tees in fine condition. Clubhouse with bar and food is pretty cool atmosphere. I wish they would add some red stakes to mark waters edge because you can’t tell where water is on some holes.
Pretty good
The Course was in OK Condition, lovely staff in the bar.
But 130$ GF is overrated for this Course.
Great course
This is a great course with fun hole layouts. Everything is in good condition. My only suggestion for improvement would be to mark waters edge with a pole. You can’t see some of the water hazards.
I would play here again
Overall a great day ! The course was in good condition, including tees, fairways, greens and traps. Pace of play was good. Ranger was seen on the course several times, as was the cart girl. Friendly staff. Only complaint was after we checked in at the Pro Shop we went to the Starter, and she did not have us appearing on the tee sheet. Our starting time of 10:38 was not even on her sheet (the closest time was 10:45). The starter eventually got it sorted out in the Pro Shop.
Family outing
Great course with lots of Character. Staff is amazing from the time you drive in till the time you pull out of the parking lot. Definitely adding this course to our must plays when we return.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that we did not exceed your expectations but hope you will come back as we are constantly working on course conditions.
