Time marches on
another DNR course in our book - waited over 15 mins on tee box 11 for the happy hookers in front of us to get it going along with the not one but two snail foursomes in front of them. not a marshall to be seen checking on pace of play. 5.30 hours is way too long - we finally gave up and left,
Disappointed
I prepaid for my son to play 18 holes with a cart. Upon arrival, he was forced to pay for the cart again. He was told it was not included in the green fees even though the Golf Now app show that it is. He has golfed at this course for many years as a Junior golfer. It’s disappointing that this is his experience… likely his last experience at this course. There are too many other options in the area that don’t double charge their loyal patrons.
Just bad
I’ve played this course a lot in the past 2 yrs. The condition of the course at this point is sickening. Troon has apparently been signed on as a management company. Which was needed since the city of Cape Coral hasn’t given it any help recently. Troon has its work cut out ahead of them. Tee boxes are AWFUL. Fairways below average with dead and bare spots everywhere. The greens were decent. Better value and conditions are easily available elsewhere.
Time for Price Drop
Course condition was fair. Price for mid-April a little high.
Will not play again
Greens are ok only some small damages.
Tee shots bad conditions..
Will not play again the course condiion over all is not very good.
Nice course in Cape Coral that needs some maintenance
The staff was very friendly and the course is an interesting course with not too much water. It needs some maintenance at the tee boxes and on some fairways and some greens. Pace of play was no issue that day.
wow I was shocked
I could not believe that this course has been neglected so badly, it used to be one of the best kepted courses we play. I inquired to staff on how this could happen and got multiple answers. I would have rather played in the field at Jacey Park.
What a Shame!! currently it's a 2 star because of Course Conditions
Coral Oaks
Very playable for first timers. Greens in nice shape, fairways need water. There is no drinking water on the course.
1st time playing this course since the end of the summer season. Greens in very good shape; some tee boxes are rough; most fairways were good. Overall, in the best shape that I have seen it.
April 6 outing
Like this course. Price is reasonable enough and the holes and greens are plenty challenging for me. We played on a saturday and was sad that after finishing the day, nothing was open to go have a drink, relax, etc. We had to find another option for our post-golf celebration.
Friendly Staff
Can't say enough about the people who run this place 1st class all the way.
Good, cheap round for Florida
Overall, the course is good for being a relatively cheap round. Some of the greens are patchy and have sand/seed, but expected for a $50 round.
course not up to par
I have played at this course for 14 years. It used to have very good greens and conditions. The greens are still OK for the most part but some of the greens like #18 have large bare spots covered with sands. About 1/3 of the tee boxes are in poor condition or one has to use a temporary tee area. The fairways are only in fair condition with some very dry areas which is hard to understand given the cooler wet winter here. All in all, it was sad seeing a course that I really like, fall into disrepair.
Sorry to hear you had a poor experience, not sure what day or time you played but our peak season average has been 4 hours 21 minutes and we are staffed daily with course rangers. Please call and we'll be glad to discuss.
