Cove Cay Golf Club

We played here last fall, was in much better shape. Pretty much every T box is threadbare, the greens are a patchwork of different textures and funny grasses. Fairway are bare in spots too. Very scenic back 9. I hope the course comes back as we like the layout.

This is a great value, nice course..... its a little narrow but definitely a nice track. Nice views on some of the holes....water views!!!

Even though the course allowed two foursomes to jump in line, the pace was great once we started play. T boxes need someone to help them recover… pretty bad shape but that’s the only thing worth mentioning. All was well!

Course conditions were fine. Staff are almost always helpful and friendly. Green speeds are usually excellent. Facilities/amenities offered are extensive. Bunkers have improved with regard to sand depth and grooming. Only concern, really, is pace of play. The course is relatively short and compact. Rounds sometimes stretch to close to 4.5 - 5 hours. No marshall/ranger is patrolling the course.

Have played this course many times over the past few years as a vacationer. Never disappoints. Staff is friendly, pace of play is reasonable and course conditions are great. Excellent value for the price paid.

I found the golf course challenging for my skill level. A lot of narrow fairways. A couple of the par 3 holes were long. I did enjoy the challenge and we enjoyed the views along the Tampa Bay. Greens were a little beat up but were very fast!!! Over all a good time.

One of the harder courses I’ve played in the area due to many bunkers, a lot of water and many narrow approaches. I’m just an OK golfer though. Pace of play was excellent. 18 in 4 hours.

Been here since January, have played just about every course in Central fla. Most of them are beat to death with burnt-out fairways, torn up tee boxes and greens full of sand and patches. You won't find that here. Course was in good shape. A bit pricey at 70$a round. Pace of play was a nice change, got around in 4 hrs.

Did not finish round. Very slow pace. Would
have been at least 5 hours and dark to finish.

The course is challenging. Lots of patience required. Just under 5 hours. 3 hours for the front is just too long!!
The course overall is very playable, the greens are in good shape. Played with a very nice couple from the area. Thank you for the fun afternoon!! My wife and I will be back!!

Layout and scenery is fantastic! T Boxes could use a little work but really enjoyed the round.

The greens were in very good condition. The fairways were bare in places so need to be GUR or winter rules for pick and place.
The bunkers were made wet so the sand was heavy.

The clubhouse and food was nice but the visitor WiFi was broken on the day.

I would recommend this course if you are an average golfer looking for an economical round of golf. Slow pace, but did tee off in the afternoon behind a golf league.
