Horrible conditions, great bartender
The only good thing about the course was the hot bartender, other than that the greens and tee boxes barely had any grass on them.
Great for the Money, greens are kept up.
for the prize, with bar and restaurant on premises, not bad.
TERRIBLE COURSE CONDITION
This is the worst course condition I have ever seen in my life. I would not play here again even if it's free.
The Worst I've ever Played - Stay Away !!!!!!!!
Greens - Horrific, Slow, Patchy, Inconsistant
Fairways - No grass, Was like hitting out of waste bunkers
Tee Blocks - All sand, No grass to tee your ball up
I paid $16.00 including cart which was about 30 yrs old and felt that I overpaid by at least $ 10.00
Wanted to practise my short game but condition of the course was so bad that I couldn't find a patch of grass to put my ball on
DO NOT waste your time here,,,
Absolutely, positively the roughest, poorest conditioned golf course I have ever experienced. Trump could sink $1 million into this property and it wouldn't be near enough to save it from itself. There are a few nice homes that back up against the course which look horribly out of place,,,, overall, lucky to draw a 1 rating out of 5,,,, DO NOT waste your time playing here!!!
Very poor condition
The course was in the worst condition of any other course I can remember. Many tees were mainly sand. The greens had weeds and had not been cut in a while. Putts varied in speed during a single putt often dying in the high grass. There is a reason the greens fees were only $20 with carts, but it still wasn't worth it.
Course needs to be redone.
Went to play here because my golf buddy is a real cheapo. This place is so run down it should be closed. Tee boxes where like sand boxes ,fairways where full of bare spots and weeds. Some of the greens where just dirt and sand. Please save your $ and time and don't play here. I wasted my Saturday not a enjoyable golf memory.
need to improve the green
I like to go to this course because I bring with me some new players for training and we play style vegas to go faster and avoid slow play.
Great course for beginners easily walkable carts available
Small practice range cheap too. Small course easy to walk around. Holes are easy to find carts manageable. Staff friendly and courteous. Tee boxes not in the best shape lots of sand. Fairways are good. Lots of par 3s. Overall just an easy course to play around no big challenges
Not worth the gas
Why didn't i listen to the rest of the reviews? Not sure. I figured since its been a wetter than usual winter the conditions cant be that bad. I play Margate Executive every week and that course is beautiful. I wanted a change of pace so i booked this deal for 13.00 plus tax and fees. 15.90. 10 cents cheaper than a walk-on. This course should be completely shut down. Its not even cow pasture. Cows would starve and die off in three days feeding on the dust in those fairways. Greens? not Greens.. they call them browns at Cooper Colony. The Browns were not even brown.. not one green/brown was puttable. I wish i could have the time back. I went back to margate executive and kissed the ground promising never to stray again. Cooper Colony is not fun not even for 5 bucks. STAY AWAY..
Course needs attention
The whole course needs attention. Tee boxes to greens. Tee boxes are all uneven. Greens full of patches on every green. I know you get what you pay for, but they need to work on this course
Great place to practice your irons !
Granted, most of the greens need to be improved, but I'd say a good 40% are puttable. The course is mainly par 3's, with a few par 4's, with good dog leg rights and lefts. A lot of the par 3's have elevated greens.
This course is great value for the novice golfer looking for experience and improving their game. Amenities include, a driving range, chipping and putting greens, with a short hole (about 60-70 yards) to practice on.
Golfer's looking for a perfect golf course, may want to look somewhere else. But, if you're a golfer looking to improve your game for a cheap price, this is the place for you. Course also has good prices, if you choose to walk the course at any time.
Strictly practice
New owner just took over.. The greens are pretty much not puttable... Always great for short irons... I had my Grandson(10) out there and he had a blast.. Good place for practice.
You get what you paid for!
If you don't care what the course looks like and you just want to get out and hit some balls for rather cheap this is the course for you. Everything is in rough shape!!! I was even afraid for my life, because I thought the cart was going to fall apart with me on it. It's to my understanding that the course is under new management and I could see some of the improvements that are being made, some of the greens were in decent shape and some of the other you could see where new patches of grass had been put int. As a matter of fact they were pressure washing the main entrance and the driving range area.
Great short game course. Forces you to choose clubs wisely and play smartly. Great staff.
Yes, the grounds do need work and they are working to restore them. This short game course makes you work extensively with your irons and hybrids. The staff provided excellent customer service. They are very "player/golfer friendly." The other golfers on the course were all very friendly and helpful. I played four straight days and each time several golfers allowed me to play through rather than make me wait. They made playing the course more like a family outing and we were all family. I even got to wear cargo pants without being hasseled. Great experience. Great value for the money. Great family atmosphere!
Easy course at a great value with a very friendly and helpful staff.
This is a very fun course. The fairways and most of the greens are well maintained. Most of the holes are par 3s and 4s. It is a course that can easily be walked. There aren't many challenging holes. We played early afternoon during the week and practically had the course to ourselves. It is a great value. Our experience was a very relaxing and fun day of golf.
