3 years and no improvement.
Wildwood has been re-opened for quite some time now. The course shows no signs of improved conditions. All the greens are in poor shape, and the fairways and tee boxes aren't much better. The sand in the bunkers has been there since 1992. This is a $15 course, but it costs twice that , DURING THE WEEK. I wish they would focus more on improving the conditions of the course than the RV park.
Friendly staff, good lay out. Greens need work. But. Beers and golf is all good.
About one half the greens are in bad shape. Forget putting! Fairways are like hitting off concrete. The beer is cold and the staff is friendly.
Pretty rough , no fairways but there were greens.
Check in they didn’t know I paid upfront via GolfNow , asked for refund but decided to play...there are no fairways and the greens are unkept ....very very rough course but great for beginners ....should be $10 -$20 for $18 .
not what I'am used to
From western Pa. so courses are a lot different there. The greens looked bad but played OK, course was hard and fast. Would play again only because of available of golf courses in this area.
Enjoyable course
This course is not in great condition, but I enjoy many of the holes and the layout.
Hardly playable
Greens way below poor
3 foot putt scare you
Fairways sparse ,bunkers have sand but not maintained
Get greens in shape it would not be a bad course
At right price
Horrible Course Conditions
The fairways were nicer than the greens. The greens were un putable. Literally holes all over the greens. Will never return. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Getting better all the time!
Considering the recent drought, the entire course is in great shape. Greens are smooth and fast. Not much rough but that helps! Sand is fantastic, real nice consistency. Going back soon!
No signs of improvement
Tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, greens - all in below average to poor condition. Course management does not seem interested in improving the conditions of the course, just their RV park. Green fees are way too high for the condition of this course. They also allow groups of 6+ to play. If this course wasn't 5 minutes from my house, I would never play here. Better value and much better conditions can be found at any of the other area courses.
Best shape in years
I hadn't played Wildwood since before Hurricane Ermine. What a pleasant surprise. The course is in very good shape (every place has room for improvement,) and was fun to play on. I'll definitely be back.
Getting Better
Course has been consistently improving for months now. Definitely worth the money!
Management cares about the golf course. We have been promised for 5 years to get water from our county. We went through a drought that started September 2, 2019. We are now getting rain and golf course is very nice. Reviews from others see it differently. Our staff gets many compliments. We do not allow 6 people in a group. Sorry you had a bad experience, but Wildwood is doing well and it’s due to more play..
