Crystal River Golf Club (formely known as Seven Rivers Golf & Country Club) has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1968. The course is not only one of Crystal River's most affordable rounds but also one of its most scenic. It's not unusual for golfers to be joined by the golf course's abundant wildlife, which includes everything from turtles and alligators to egrets and eagles. The golf course has a traditional parkland layout that is routed through stands of mature oak and maple trees. A network of ponds and steams weaves throughout the golf course as well. It's a challenging but fair test where water hazards and sand bunkers come into play often. In addition to the course, Crystal River Golf Club also has a practice facility with a driving range and a putting green with a sand bunker.

Re try
The course just reopened. Greens are over seeded and rough but usable. They will probably be better in a few weeks.

Only complaint is that all frees were under repair and a tremendous amount of sand was on them.
Good value
This is a friendly Bermuda track in decent shape. Bunkers, fairways and greens were all just fine for the price. Keep it in the fairway and you can go low here. Greens are small, but the fairways are wide. Rough and green surrounds were fluffy brillo pad Bermuda grass that swallows your ball so stay in the short grass!
Great course. Green a little bumpy. Im sure from airation
Play there several times a year. Always an enjoyable experience.
Value for money
Fair conditions. Just a nice course to play. Greens true.
Improvements needed
A beautiful course for the nature lover. Many species of birds and water fowl to be seen. Challenging course with many water hazards. We liked the new configuration of the holes. The first hole used to be the tenth. Most of the greens were good, a few not so good. Many of the fair ways and ladies tee boxes could use some tlc. Maybe because of the dry weather??
Okay practice course
Course is in bad shape. The greens aren't green (lots of yellow) and are not consistent.
Pace of play was very slow due to a "monthly" outing.
Dollar for dollar course is just okay if you are looking to get in a practice round although the tee boxes and fairways were in poor shape.
Too shabby for me
Crystal River Golf Club, formerly 7 River Golf and Country Club, changed hands about 2 years ago. The new owners spiffed up the club house and ripped out a lot of vegetation and flipped the nines. What they have not done is grow any grass or killed any weeds. The greens are in pretty good shape. But the rest of the course is a mess. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, aprons - all with little grass and lots of weeds. If you want to play somewhere fast and cheap, you can do that here. If you're looking for a decent golf course, go somewhere else. I won't be back.
In bad need of water.
The fairways were dried out and greens had grass but very dry hard and fast.
Needs work
Course needs work on fairways and tee boxes, greens are fast and true.
GOOD COURSE
This is a great deal to play a good course for the rates they charge. Greens at good and pace of play is excellent.
C.R.
Needs water on course and greens. Tee boxes were quite bare & had alot of sand as filler for the large quantities of bare spots.
Course a bit dry at the moment, so your ball rolls and rolls. Greens very, very fast, bur fair. Always nice to play. Nice views
Overall
The course is in great shape and challenging. The only thing I didn't like was the women's tee's. They are too far ahead. My wife beats me most of the time she hits the ball as far as I do. I do like the course
