Birr Golf Club
What a pleasure to play this course. Wilma and I have a very enjoyable experience. Its 42 years since i have played there for the first time with my dad God rest him. The changes are very good and will only get better with maturity. The steward in the bar was very courteous and knew a lot of my friends at Portarlington. Well done to Birr GC and their greens keeper we intend coming back next year thank youy.

A lLttle Gem in the Heart of Ireland
What a pleasant surprise we had playing the undulating parkland course at Birr. There was a challenging mixture of interesting doglegs and testing short holes. The wide fairways were forgiving to the novice yet offered challenge to the proficient. The interlacing design of the course worked its way around a stylish clubhouse with the restaurant quaintly named the Duck on the Green. The engaging staff and members made for a most enjoyable experience.
New layout on 1st few holes
Haven't played this course in around 15 yrs enjoyed the new layout of opening holes would highly recommend it, great value for money and great food in the clubhouse
Great course
Played here on a Sunday morning. Pro shop and office were closed but as we had pre paid it was not a problem. Great course with lots of hidden dips and hills, all the holes were different and had their own challenges. Will definitely be back.
